winning bids are snatched back if price not right
This site is a scam and reviews are not supported with any follow-ups I won a bid and the item taken back before I could pay for it The item was a car and the seller said it had engine noise so they would not continue the listing I got the item cheaper than they wanted to sell it so they made up an excuse not to sell to me I then asked to buy it with the problem because I knew it didn t have a problem and they said they couldn t sell it with a problem regardless Govdeals sell broken stuff all day Such a scam I called Govdeals and got more bull from them I will buy local

Some educations cost more than others
To those of you and myself that have a bidding number on Govdeals you should read the hundreds of negative reviews before bidding and my advice if you decide to bid too I had heard some horror stories of some online auctions but never believed Govdeals was anything but a reliable source to get a good deal on used vehicles I ve purchase other items even three vehicles local to where I lived in another state and had a positive experience I guess adding other affiliates has worn down their good reputation Last November was my first experience in Oklahoma of bidding on a vehicle in this area but the vehicle wasn t in the possession of Govdeals but with Sierra auctions The location of this vehicle was in Dallas Texas A 2006 Honda with low miles was a charity acquisition I had also won a second vehicle Well sort of I paid online then picked up the Honda because it was running brought it home and began right away with body work and basic maintenance items The other vehicle although paid for I didn t return to pick it up because of a difficulting in getting a trailer to bring it home It wouldn t start and run on site and that was just the opposite of the auctions description and so they reversed the purchase of that vehicle and then relisted it I thought because the brakes made noise I figured it needed brakes replaced so I bought some brakes but when I took the wheels off to change I found out it was just rusted callipers and disks I cleaned and lubricated those and reassembled Then returned the brakes for a refund Two things I am eternally thankful for 1 not buying tires and 2 using a credit card for the purchase Here s why A week after I they received the funds I was contacted about how to title the vehicle Thinking the title was on its way to me I began restoring and fixing the vehicle it would start and drive but a check engine light was on I spent about 80 hours detailing the engine compartment making it look new again replacing a broken tail lights oil and filter changes a breather hose on the fuel body Little did I know that after 11 weeks and many many futile attempts on my part to contact Sierra auctions they simply ignored phone calls and emails all my attempts to get a title ending in failure By the last week of December I made two last attempts calls and emails to Gov deals and Sierra auctions telling them my patience was at an end that I planned to get the transaction canceled my warning also fell on def ears I gave it 2 more weeks hoping that would get their attention futilely I watched my mailbox daily Apparently not I resigned and contacted my credit card company and asked that they reverse the purchase and why I had decided on that action They apparently had either heard my story before or did their own investigation as well as notify Sierra of my complaint After a couple of weeks of waiting they too agreed that I d been scammed and reversed the transaction Money I spent bringing it home and work and repairs I did to it since bringing it home I even filled the tank with fuel Chocking this experience up to my educational expenses I await perhaps futilely for Sierra to contact me now and come get the car If anyone here needs some gas I will gladly allow them to syphon some from the tank I pan on filling my gas cans but there are twenty gallons of fuel I purchased 2 months ago in it

Scams and the company is in on it
Scams and the company is in on it The biggest scam that I ve encountered is The lot of 50 rings scam out of Pennsylvania They post 50 rings about half of them will appear to be made of the precious metals They will make no claims about the rings and encourage you to come inspect for yourself and they also won t answer any questions about the rings like are the stamped with any markings I brought a 600 dollar box of the rings that I could have gotten for under 30 at a local craft shop

If you see this
If you see this it means Trustpilot hasn t deleted it yet but they will soon but my opinion about Govdeal s is that it s a total scam and they have scammed the City of Albuquerque and Bernillio County Probably many more state governments If you bid on an item and win the seller may or may not be available for pick up If not available they can report you for not picking up the items in time and Govdeals will access a 40 fee They will keep all your money and try to get the 40 fee too If they can screw you out of enough money they won t try to get the 40 fee but I believe that this site is a total scam Trustpilot will delete this post soon so you are lucky to have seen it before you risk your money

Scummy Scammers
This is just the beginning of my plans to blow the whistle on these scumbags It starts from the top down My first issue was buying a Chevy Suburban from a city in TN The advertised vehicle had many pictures etc The vehicle I received looked like it was parked in a swamp vs what they advertised The pictures of the vehicle were taken YEARS ago which means it was an intentional scam I ve been in the automotive business for 30 years and have never seen anything like it Of course govdeals was on ZERO help after I sent them multiple photos of what I received for a vehicle The second issue is after buying a pickup truck in AZ they sent me an invoice that included tax AND a tax for their rip-off buyer premium - I ve never paid TAX to govdeals for any of the vehicles I purchased in hte past I pay that at the DMV Not only are they trying to charge tax it s the WRONG percentage of tax too high So far I can t get past the punch dummy who takes their phone calls for the so-called customer service Who reads a script for answers Does anyone here think that the State of CT my State would get ONE DIME of that collected tax money I HIGHLY doubt it -So this is a new thing they re trying to pull So between buyer premium now taxes and other fees you can add about 20 to your total purchase NOT HAPPENING I m going to take this -tax fraud- in imo a LONG WAY and with a very loud whistle

I believe that this is a scam website
I believe that this is a scam website buyer beware I used the site several times and found that the seller won t be available for pick up several times then Govdeals will take your money and default you on the website You don t get the item you bought and don t get a refund unless you file a lawsuit I think this website should be shut down but they are operating under several different names They tried to charge me an additional 40 fee but I filled a tort claim against the City of Albuquerque Only then did Govdeals return the money Now they added a 40 fee if the seller isn t available for pick up within the specified timeframe Not sure if this is a Govdeals scam alone or if Bernillio county and the City of Albuquerque are involved I advise to use a reputable site to bid so they don t take your money

Former 18 year customer with over 100K buys
Had been buying with GovDeals and its associated companies ie federal military sales since 2006 Recently GD has started hosting listings from shady businesses in our case towing and veh repo who are practicing questionable sales practices a clear title in most states means either a title in the name of the seller or court seizure documents such as listing vehicles with clear titles yet the titles are still in the names of the people the vehicles were seized or repo ed from Our dispute was over shipping on a less than 100 total purchase The seller posted a poorly worded listing then refused to adhere to the terms instead falsely claiming we demanded a refund of the purchase price which we did not do We considered the paid for items as a loss and suggested the seller donate them to charity Our last purchase was a 4X4 dually diesel Ford F350 GD locked our account and refused to back us up on the dispute We are done with them A loss of a 18 year customer who has spent over 100K All over less than 100

BUYER BEWARE
I was the high bidder on a vehicle The listed stated Clear Title Come to find out over 2 weeks of waiting the seller did not have the title at all It was still at the previous owners bank Therefore I have a useless purchase sitting here Govdeals only states that the seller needs to make this right This transaction went through their platform and it is not my problem to resolve They will not assist with refund expenses incurred and the return of the vehicle I am about to hire an attorney that will go after both companies for the time efforts and suffering that I have endured due to the misrepresentation and false advertising that transpired

Auctions won t end if there s a
Auctions won t end if there s a competing bid it extends EACH TIME 3 mins or 5 minutes FOREVER there s no end until 1 of the 2 competing bidder gives up but it will go on ITS JUST OUT TO GET YOIUR for top 2 bidders to compete you will keep outbidding each other the last minute bids kept getting extended so it went on for maybe 30 minutes after the auction is supposed to end What is an auction end time then there needs to be a limit of EXTENDED TIMEIt just frustrates you and you probably pay more than you want to outbid in the heat of the moment I have paid for my auctions they cost 1000s I waited 2 days now I called the seller which is an airport and they hung up on me and didn t get any certificates about pick up and CS won t respond so I m not sure if I got scammed
