This company makes the most phenomenal brownies Always delivered on time even through covid and caters for all sorts of dietary requirements gluten vegan etc Also the chocolate butter is devine

Poor customer service
I have ordered these brownies for myself and presents to others and they were brilliant The last time I ordered they were smaller and because of this they didn t fit the box as previous I contacted the company by email and was told I shouldn t believe everything I read on the internet And when I went back to clarify that it was my experience- was told We ll have to disagree Poor customer service

Customer Service Product Terrible
Purchased some blondies for my mum for her birthday My mum buys them regularly from QVC and absolutely adores them I went direct My mum phoned me a few days later to say they weren t the usual batch They were very undercooked and weren t cracked on top like they usually are I emailed Kate at Gowers Cottage and received a very cold reply basically stating they were as they should have been and they obviously weren t to my mums taste They ve asked for me to send them back and for me to pay for postage until received and then they will refund for postage and product I m so disgraced I have heard a few times now that Kate appears lovely and friendly on the telly but on the phone in emails she s not at all No apology or anything Lost a consistent customer there

Fuming
I ordered 2 boxes of brownies On 7 04 to be delivered on Thursday 14th for Easter weekend I am pregnant and I got a box for my friend who just had a baby On 12 04 I realised I put my address which I am at work so I needed to change my delivery address to my work address I tried calling and no answer so I went on to my order confirmation to change through that and it said I was too late I had then received a delivery information email from DPD so went through that to change the address These were then not delivered I called Thursday night and the DPD man said I m really sorry I put these aside to put the change of address on but they have now been lost You need to contact who you brought these through I have sent 3 emails and spent 1 whole week trying to call and speak to someone I have finally managed to get someone to email me back who is saying they have done nothing wrong and it is my fault for changing the address so they are doing nothing about it I am absolutely disgusted in the customer service they have provided me

Poor after-sales customer care
I ve not experienced such poor after-sales customer care before Once the owner has your money she doesn t care what happens to the product and will fight any suggestion of a refund or replacement regardless of the circumstances I ve ordered the brownies in the past and they re nice enough but I ve found a local business with an absolutely lovely seller who goes above and beyond with customer care so I ll buy from her from now on instead The brownies are actually nicer too

Dreadful customer service AVOID
Dreadful customer service AVOID My brownie order which was a gift arrived damaged and crushed I raised a complaint with Kate and she couldn t have cared less I had to really chase a response from her and even then she refused any kind of reimbursement She was cold and rude Sounds to be a common theme in reviews She asked me to return the packaging which i did paying for postage myself then weeks went by without her acknowledging receipt of this Then she refused to take it any further had to fight to even get the postage costs reimbursed Just dreadful service overall Plenty of other brownie delivery companies out there that you should use instead

Failure to deliver
Brownies not delivered by DPD despite instructions given However when I contacted Kate I was basically told that I could have arranged to collect from a DPD location when they failed to deliver to my chosen address I find this incredible as her webpage lauds next day delivery but she expects the customer to do the running My delivery was London for a special occasion I Iive in Gower Save your money and use someone else

I wish I had read the reviews before I placed my order that didn t arrive on the designated day Don t be fooled by the banner on the order page next day delivery THIS IS NOT THE CASE consistent with other reviews Was told brownies will keep when I emailed somewhat missing the point of the special day Plenty of other brownie companies to order from

Awful After Care and Customer service
I placed an order on there website with an incorrect postcode it was one letter out I realised my mistake immediately and changed it through there website it allows you to do this within 1 hour to doubly check I also emailed them and asked them if the update had been confirmed there end and to please email me back to confirm it was the correct address I also tried ringing them several times 14 times to be precise they never pick up there phone they emailed me back a day later with the incorrect postcode they obviously don t read there emails correctly as they continued to despatch my brownies still to the incorrect postcode when I realised this had happened after dispatch it was whilst checking the tracking info I realised it was opposite ends of the country I rung kate immediately after a further dozen phone calls she finally answered her phone she was very non committal cold and not one apology from her regarding her error she said she would look in to it after several emails and a PayPal dispute later she is still maintaining she did nothing wrong she s not even willing to come to some compromise with the payment she only emails me through the PayPal dispute and not direct to my email address I have now given up my Brownies were never delivered they are currently floating around in the Royal Mail System going back and forth these were sent as a gift also Royal Mail said she will eventually get them back it ll be a return to sender - I understand mistakes happen however I feel I did everything I could as a customer to try and rectify what I did wrong at the start of the order unfortunately she isn t able to see what she did wrong she admitted to me by email she d seen the change of address in my opinion she s only interested in taking your money with no aftercare to her customers I have never dealt with a company as bad as this as far as aftersales is concerned avoid at all costs I feel saddened it s come to this as the Brownies I ve had previously are top notch It s the Customer service let s it down It s a shame as I m originally from the Gower myself and as I live away it s a piece of home in my home
