Greendot is a real fraud

Greendot promised to facilitate my refund but closed my account early due to lack of activity Yet all IRS refunds are delayed I attempted to check the status of the account but could not access the online or phone system because they disconnected due to me not having an account Unfair business I m shocked the IRS allows TurboTax to use such a fraudulent 3rd party for tax refunds

Worst mistake ever using turbo card by green dot

I used greendots turbo tax card for my tax return biggest mistake of my life they are impossible to get ahold of they charged me a 15 dollar expedited shipping fee 4 times and never once sent my card to me expedited Won t refund all the shipping charges transactions declined at atm to withdraw money but they took the money from my account and I DID NOT WITHDRAW ONE CENT NOW THEY DONT ANSWER the phone they leave you on hold over an hour and counting as I m writing this review Keep your money in a box under your bed it will be 100 times safer than using the turbo card by greendot

This bank is obviously a fraud setup Without my authorization the amount of 998 was withdrawn 3 times in one day I have contacted the police and the Consumer Protection Bureau Be VERY cautious This is a real SCAM

To whom this may concern You guys will disregard my concerns and that s fine as I will be talking to my lawyer today 11 7 I did a cash advance at my credit union and it denied twice on their end however the first transaction in the amount of 2 201 92 is pending even the bank declined it I have chatted over 10 times and keep receiving different answers which is ridiculous to say the least Your customer service reps don t know what they are doing and it s sadI need my money to pay bills and you guys are causing hardship to meI have read different lawsuits and I see you guys have done other customers the same way You can t legally hold my money for 10 days after the merchant had denied the transaction and they didn t collect the funds from the transaction I have already filed a FDIC and BBB complaint as well I need my money released by the end of today or I will be reaching out to my lawyer as well as news stationsI will also put my experience on all social media and news platforms I know the transaction can be released i know that you guys have also already received notification from the bank that it declined so you are illegally holding my funds

Terrible service

My card has been registered as Non- personalized Non Reloadable card - I couldn t access my online account and leave behind any data Now the company according their bogus terms want a one-time 9 95 inactivity fee scheduled to be debited from my account on Apr 23 2023 I warned my credit card company to block them When I called Greendot to block the card they hang up after 21 minutes

My money was authorized to a scam account AFTER my mortgage and car insurance were denied THIS HAPPENED ON OCTOBER 16 2023 Today is December 1 2023 and i have been calling every day My money was refunded to me on 11 3 23 I never received that check Today i was told that the check was returned The address was correct So why was it returned On 11 27 23 I was issued a new refund check that was being rushed to me My mail is here and no refund check I called again today and i had a very hard time understanding anything the girl was saying Every rep i speak with has an Indian accent that is very hard for me to know what they are saying She said something about the check was delivered in my country So just where is Green Dot here and in India 1 106 02 is my money and i am not stopping until i get it back I am not alone in this battle I would like to get every person who has lost money because of Green Dot Bank to rise and join each other and sue NOW

One of life s little errors

I put 116 dollars on a newly purchased card and it can t be used to buy anything on Amazon I have this uneasy feeling that I won t be able to use it to buy anything anywhere I was on hold for 52 minutes for support before I threw in the towel

Absolutley the worst experience ever Started a new bsuiness and needed a temp fuel card until my permanent cards arrived Every aspect of this card is hard to use unable to access funds on card funds that I ve prepaid constant multiple verifications re-verifications I m livid regarding the experience that I ve had with this company And or course like all other lame companies these days there is no one to talk to poor non- existant customer service This company should be ashamed of themselves Needs to be shut down

Back i October 29 2023 I call Green

Back in October 29 2023 I call Green dot to inform them my wallet was stolen I have a police report I was in Las Vegas at a wedding so I really didn t want to miss the wedding to go home and wait for a card So I asked if they could send it to me in Vegas Well I couldn t understand the man Because of his strong accent I asked to speak to someone else Well he kept asking me questions I guess I answered something wrong They locked me out of my account then they closed it permanently I ended up losing my house because I couldn t pay my rent had to move to Vegas because I couldn t get home Destroyed Christmas for me and my Grandkids And I m still waiting for my money They are now saying I should have it in 10 days and it s showing 0 in my closed account now Plus they started talking fees out when they didn t before They should at least reimburse that monet to me for all the heart ack they put me through Don t get one of there cards you ll be sorry if you do

DO NOT USE

This business is unsettling I received this card as a gift for my baby shower and assumed it was a gift card with 50 on it I didn t even spend the entire amount and now I find myself with a negative 15 balance Why do I now have a negative balance Fees No one will close my account until I pay out of my own pocket which is absolutely absurd It seems you are a business profiting from unnecessary fees Had I known this I would have asked the gift giver to return the card so I could get a legitimate gift card worth 50 Such distasteful business tactics Anyone considering using your services would be better served by a regular bank that doesn t impose these fees I refuse to pay this negative balance and will dispute any claims sent my direction Your business practices are deplorable essentially taking money from people
