Pushy sales Will promise anything to get your money
I phoned them up and the man who answered the phone was very pushy to make a sale He didn t want to give me time to think and kept me off balance I realised afterwards I have been overcharged by around 5 for each plant I wanted them delivered on my week off but he pushed for an earlier day when I had only a couple of hours off to get the shrubs in the ground before I went to work The next few days after would be impossible for me so to get the plants in the ground punctuality would be essential He promised a time and I hired a gardener to arrive at the same time to help me No sign of my laurels at the agreed time so I gave it 20 minutes and called them The chap said the vans had left at 07 00 I m only 20 minutes away from them but as it was 10 20am he called the delivery guys and called me back This is where the lying really started - unfortunately events that happened hundreds of times had delayed them What events A tyre puncture Hundreds of times Well once a year or so Whereabouts Kent They stayed in a hotel overnight But I thought they left Ormesby at 07 00 and I was one of their first calls The guy waffled on and on giving me lies easily disprovable when he would have been better off admitting they hadn t ever intended to deliver at the agreed time He promised afternoon delivery when I would be at work so I gave him detailed instructions where they should be left I paid off my gardener and he went home I was in London when my phone went There s no-one here It turns out the instructions I gave hadn t been passed on Being dishonest and being too pushy with sales is a bad idea guys

Sent wrong trees wouldn t refund
I ordered 40 x 6-7ft laurels they price matched another quote i had for 1200 Their original quote was 1800 00 They advised the order would be 2 weeks The order didn t show up for another 4 weeks and was finally received mid December 2020 I was advised to get them planted immediately as they were root-balls it could damage the plant if not so i arranged for workmen to take delivery and plant whilst i was at work Im no gardener but thought they didn t look right straight away but was assured that they just needed to flourish in the ground Over the next 3 weeks i suffered an unfortunate riding accident which caused me to be in hospital then was Christmas and new year At the beginning of January i noticed they had lost all their leaves so i contacted Harrods outdoors to be told they aren t laurels but privets They would not even consider taking them back as by now it was 3 weeks since receiving them and out of their 2 week refund period even though due to their late delivery meant Christmas new year fell into this time Absolutely devastated that i had wasted SO much money on trees i don t even want they said the best they could do would be a really good deal on some actual laurels They think that charging me 2400 is a really good deal this is 640 HIGHER than their original quote Absolutely disgusted in this company avoid like the plague They may well be all polite to talk to but they have ripped me off 1200 You would think that even as a good will gesture they would have them back and provide a refund or even offer me an actual good deal on the correct trees but nope they don t give a toss

Delivery arrived well beyond late
Delivery arrived well beyond late No updates received and or any remorse when spoken to If that was not bad enough the quality of hedging were completely appalling roots were dry and dying Asked for a refund or a replacement and they could not give a toss blaming me for the issue

Delivery took an unnecessary amount of time to arrive to add to that the Laurel Hedging came tightly packed in cling film causing much breakage to the plants Leaves were discoloured and spotted Take your business elsewhere

Customer service poor trees delayed and now refunded
Ordered blue atlas cedar weeping cedar beginning of April No feedback as regards to delivery had to ring in Was told delayed and they would be delivered in 2 weeks Come delivery date they emailed to say that due to brexit the trees were not allowed in the country Offered to send trees I didn t order twice so they don t read emails A month after ordering they have still not removed them from their website Was offered a credit which I may have taken up in the future but cannot get into my account as it does not recognise the email that they have been emailing me on So all in all customer service is bad and no trees to be had apparently Yet other companies also selling

Rubbish Packing
I ordered a potted plant on 26th Aug It arrived on 24th Sept - so not the world s fastest In the box was one sheet of brown paper one empty flowerpot a handful of loose earth and my dried up plant What were you thinking You could have at least tied the flowerpot inside a plastic bag to held the soil and plant in Was this worth 42 - I don t think so Only now is the plant starting to revive so fingers crossed
