THERE IS NO WAY I COULD RECOMMEND THIS DEALER WHEN VIEWING A CAR CHECK IT THROUGHLY UPDATE 08 12 23 Just been made aware that the car is fitted with illegal front window tints Spoke to Alex who didn t show any interest So reported to TRADING STANDARDS Cost 60 to have them removed Scratches removed when valeted properly Required THREE NEW TYRES - one had a bulge on the wall all engine filters needed replacing and FRONT PADS REPLACED DUE TO WEAR So what service Any buyer considering purchasing from this dealer please read this first And learn from my mistake Last week I purchased a Silver Mercedes S Class from this dealer The photos of the car looked greatThe dealer informed me that the car had originally been advertised for nearly 22 999 but the current sale price was 19 990 I arranged a slight reduction to 19 500 if it didn t include the 3 months warranty I traveled from Devon to view the car Much to my disappointment it was parked outside the showroom in the pouring rain When I asked why it wasn t in the showroom so I could view it in a dry environment their reply was Because we knew that you would like to test drive it So not an ideal situation to view a car And to my way of thinking had not received a great polish as the drops were not running off the paint work as you would expect From a personal angle not the best idea to view the car in the wet so why it not been parked in the showroom Is it because they knew that if you saw the scratches and marks more on that later I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED THE CAR BASED ON THE PRICEI looked as best based on the weather there was a loose plastic cover in the engine compartment I asked about it and was assured that it would be rectified there and then Never the less the car looked and drove ok So I went ahead with the purchase was told that it only had the one key even though there was no previous mention I drove the car home part way and stopped for the night The next day it was dry and I sadly discovered some long scratches across the bonnet a patch which appeared to show the paintwork was breaking up a local detailer stated due to bird poo sinking into the paint work Next morning on starting the car a warning symbol came up advising me that the Coolant was low On checking I found that the coolant was virtually non existent the same with the screen wash the oil level was on the minimal level so I topped them all up The cover that I pointed out to the dealer was still and loose hadn t been touched nut instead resting where I had left it A couple of cable ties and it was sorted its not rocket science First highlighted sentence of their advert - which Autotrader had provided me with stated JUST BEEN SERVICED I contacted the dealer and spoke with the same salesperson I explained my concerns and he was surprised what I had found and said that my concerns would be passed onto the Manager but expressed that he wouldn t expect a positive outcome Though it was possible to have the oil and filter changed I said that was not feasible due to the distance Even though the dealer is proud to be linked to the AA The salespersons contacted me and assured that he had fully outlined my concerns and they had consented to a one of payment of 70 to cover a valet as long as I agreed to give them a great review and mention the name of the Salesperson But that would be the end of the matter and the payment would be made at the beginning of the following week Initially I accepted the offer but over the weekend showed the car to a couple of friends who worked in the trade and they were appalled by the condition of a car which had been priced at 19 999 let alone the original price I reflected on my decision and contacted the salesperson and stated I was declining the offer and requested to speak with the Manager to discuss the issue The salesperson appeared annoyed and asked what he could do to settle the matter I asked him to put a proposal to me on what they were prepared to offer Contacted again to speak with the Manager as per my request his reply was that the Manager was FAR TOO BUSY DEALING WITH OTHER MATTERS to speak with me I countered that surely customer satisfaction was and should be a priority But no the Manager wouldn t speak to me but told the salesperson to remove their offer since I had declined it The car is being fully detailed and servicedBoth at a significant cost to myself I hope that readers of this review will understand that though being very negative is factual and truthful

Sarah NaessensI purchased my car on 15th May and since then too date I have had repeated issues with the car it has been back for repairs 3 times and each time within an hour the same issues appear They are very good at saying the right thing and putting the blame on me and my driving assuming the car was driven when it wasnt claiming the mileage used which was really high but my journeys are local and I did not record the mileage when it initially went back I gave them the opportunity to out the car right as it was sold unfit for use after the same problemsExisted I requested a refund The car was 7300 and they are claiming charges back of 5 200 which legally should be reasonable charges this is not reasonable charges its ridiculous how they could do this is so disappointing even down to charging cancellation fee had they sold a car fit for purpose I would not be asking for a refund I have no confidence in the dealership and as a gesture of goodwill showing this is not normal for their garage I should be issued a refund less mileage use I was told 4 times if I go to court they will win which as a single woman I found very intimidating I have gone through the complaints procedure but this has not been followed up their end I have to repeatedly chase for updates and on one occasion was told to stop ringing and leave them to do their job please note I had to call otherwise I would not know a thing The car was keep for 4 hours the first time and even though I was told it was running perfectly the exact same faults appeared on way home The car was taken back and kept for 7 weeks for a job that was agreed by the manager would take 7-10 days It came back and the second 5 minute journey the car broke down They are now claiming I flooded the car with water and its now under investigation I have been left with this for two weeks and each call is met with the phone being cut off followed up rarely with a message to say there is nothing that can be done as the car is under investigation I am outraged at the service I understand that the mechanical issues happen with used cars but clearly the car was sold with faults it was clearly not checked and although the claims that each time it has been repaired and 5 000 spent on a new engine and yet still the car is not working any respectable company would accept liability and apologise profusely and refund the keep the car as clearly it is not safe for use and should not have been sold as much as they try to blame me for it all the car arrived with the faults they told me the car arrived back in a shocking state which is complete lies they told me it had a dent in upon requests for images as there was no dent when the car went back to them after ignoring me for 3 messages I was told there was no dent I have an auto immune condition which is brought on by stress and this has caused me nothing but stress I am a single mum and need my car for work since 15th May I have not been able to work properly as the car has been backwards and forwards to Harvey Jacobs The mileage use is due to the return visits to the dealership as it takes 2 hours from my address I have been trying to speak to a manager and have only achieved this once and although I have asked repeatedly for the managers phone number it has always been ignored and never given to me Apparently he is now on holiday until tomorrow and I should expect w call tomorrow I feel I have been taken advantage of being a single woman My friends and family are so angry about this situation as they see the stress and financial problems this is causing I was initially told its a used car and only cost 7300 so what did I expect Thankfully consumers are covered legally to not be treated in this manner contrary to what They think Please be careful when purchasing a used car from this dealership I have read the other reviews with 1 star who are similar to the service I have received and as I have experienced they reply blaming the customer rather than accepting liability I will pursue this through the small claims court as it appears I am being left no alternative

Dishonest Sales People
We purchased a car from this dealership under the understanding that the bodywork and alloys had no marks or imperfections when the car arrived it was obvious that 2 doors had been resprayed the finish of these resprayed doors was almost Matt all of the alloys were badly damaged and paint was peeling off the roof bars Every panel had some sort of cosmetic damage We rejected the car and they refunded us minus a charge of 475 even though I had evidence of their dishonest description of the car As they are affiliated with AA I contacted them and began mediation but they refused to refund any of my 475 AA have no powers over the dealership so despite several attempts to reach a fair conclusion AA have now sent me information on how to take legal action against the dealership I believe they will now have their AA affiliation removed as they haven t followed the guidelines of the consumer rights act 2015 and this is one of the conditions of their contract with AA Buyer beware

Excess Charges when returning a faulty car
I purchased a Mercedes A45 from this dealer and within 100 miles it started crunching when putting it into drive I returned it and they serviced the gearbox I picked it up and it was still crunching when putting it into gear they said this is normal a Mercedes that crunches gears is not normal I then said if they will not fix it then I want to return it They agreed but with costs I want to make everyone aware that if you are returning a faulty car to them you will incur the following costs Admin 199 Registration 200 50 per day rental charged for every day you have the car and50 pence per mile usage I had the car for just 1 week 2 days in for repair although they later said it was not faulty Crunching gears is normal and it cost me 888 in costs they point to the very vague terms On their website I can understand if I was returning an unwanted car but the car was faulty and they would not fix it under their own engine and gearbox warrantee so I think these charges are unfair as I was returning faulty goods

UPDATED 20 02 24SINCE MY EARLIER REVIEW THIS HAS JUST HAPPENED JUST RECEIVED A NOTICE OF INTENDING PROSECUTION FROM THE MET POLICE FOR A SPEEDING OFFENCE 43MPH IN A 30 ZONE WHICH HAPPENED 3 WEEKS BEFORE I PURCHASED THE CAR FORTUNATELY I HAD EVIDENCE THAT I WAS NOT THE R K BUT PROVIDED THIS DEALERS DETAILS SO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE EVIDENCE OF ANY PURCHASE THANKFULLY I HAVE NOW SOLD THE CAR AS IT SPENT MORE TIME IN THE WORKSHOPS AS IT WAS ALWAYS GOING WRONG AND COST A SMALL FORTUNE I HAVE NOW BOUGHT A CAR FROM A MAIN DEALER WHICH CAME WITH A LOT MORE ASSURANCE PROTECTION AND HONESTY BUT BEFORE IT WENT I HAD TO HAVE REMOVED THE ILLEGAL TINTS TO THE FRONT WINDOWS BUY AT YOUR PERIL

THEY SELL DEATH TRAP CARS - DO NOT BUY
Just a few hour after buying a Land Rover Evoque from Abdulrahman Safar who calls himself Adam who owns Harvey Jacob Motors and Sam and Alex I was nearly killed when the car burst into flames while driving and I was trapped inside Under the law Consumer Rights Act 2015 I am entitled to a full refund in the manner I paid return of my partners Audi A5 black edition 81 000 miles car and the remaining money Harvey Jacob Motors Abdulrahman Safar are refusing to abide by the law They also did not complete the transaction correctly as they did not get my partner who is the legal owner of the Audi to sign anything So DO NOT BUY A BLACK AUDI A5 from Harvey Jacob Motors it has to be returned by law to its legal owner Do not buy any car from these horrendous people who sell unroadworthy death trap cars and don t care or abide by the law

Yesterday 15 04 2024 a vw Sheran was advertised by Harvey Jacob motors at auto trader I cal them accepted the asking price and agreed to collect today 16 04 18 30 I travelled all the way from Bristol to collect the car sending them txt message that I am on the way Soon I reached at garage one guy named Alex probably fake name told me the car is sold as someone appear from no where and took the car I was shocked as at least they should have told me but didn t bother and left the place Soon I was leaving another guy approached me and told if I want that car he can sell me for extra 2000 On investigating further I realise it was trap for me to grab more money as they thought I travelled from far agreed asking price so I will be desperate to buy I realise these guys are fake from top to bottom as garage is under the name of Abdulrahman but they all tel their fake English names to customers as they have have bad name in past

I went down to buy a car from this dealership travelled from Birmingham to view car on arrive I test drove the car and the heating wasn t working on one side Alex tried to get it working however with no success he advised he will bring it to the back and get it checked out he came out saying its the gas its 15 to fix straight away alarm bells started ringing So He was trying to get me to buy the car for 12 500 a class saloon with the issue I said no I m going to the garage down the road bare in mind Alex told me his co2 machine broken so I went to the garage down the road who told me it is not the Gas Gas is only for aircon which I already knew On my way back Alex called me and said it was the heat exchange it cost 50-60 he said with the dents and issues and because I travelled far he would sell for 12 000 I said no fix the issue and I will buy the car Anyways we was in his office and he said he can fix the issue today so I called him the following day to be told he would only fix the issue if I pay 150 deposit and pay for the car before they fix the issue i swiftly declined these guys are crooks clearly how can you ask a paying customer to give you 150 for you to fix a issue on a car you are selling pathetic avoid at all cost Believe the rereviews you see on here scammers

BUY AT YOUR PERIL
BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE AT YOUR PERIL See other comments and query the authenticity of any positive comments I purchased a car in September No evidence of a service apart from filter receipt for 7 from July No paper MOT cert no owners handbook no service handbook Day 1 ok Day 2 message on screen to say service required in 1000 miles despite every car comes with recent service I contacted them and they told me to bring the car back 144 miles round trip and they d update computer Day 3 and before I could return car engine management warning light came on Local garage 50 charge said it was the Nox sensors I returned the car and collected it 4 days later no info regarding repairs or parts receipts 3 days later warning light again Another diagnostic check locally 50 charged confirmed Nox sensors faulty again Returned car on 11th November Car repaired and available on 25th Nov 2 WEEKS plus 206 miles extra on mileage They said road testing 206 miles in and around London using approx 5 gals of fuel No paperwork or receipts available so I don t know what was done 100 in diagnostic checks 494 additional miles 12 gals of fuel 110 in rail and other public transport costs They have on two occasions missed emails from me sorry but they went to junk mail one text no response sorry but I missed it The only person I have met who offered his name was Alex Emails correspondence with Sam but I ve never knowingly met Owner apparently is Adam but I ve never met him Or so I believe Are these quintessentially English names all for one person whose name is Abdulrahmen I m not racist but I like honesty and I don t believe I saw much REPEAT BUY AT YOUR PERIL Not allowed to mention their supposed name s apparently Just BEWARE
