I ordered a 117 French Press online It was double-walled glass It arrived completely shattered I called HBC immediately and talked to Kenneth who lied and said that I would get a full refund The liar said that I did not have to return it after he saw the pic that I emailed to him HBC refunded 23 and I was told based on Kenneth s instructions I called a second time and was told that I would get a fund A week later I received an email that my request was denied What a bunch lying a-holes I feel sorry for the name of Henry Hudson Hudson s Bay fame

The Hudson s Bay Sells Reputable Brands Without Manufacturer Warranty
Purchased Parachute brand down side sleeper pillow from The Hudsons Bay company in September 2022 Pillow works great except I noticed less than a month ago it s shedding a massive amount of down Contacted the company Parachute directly and they said they couldn t honour their warranty as it wasn t purchased direct from them I contacted Hudson s Bay and they told me that the Pillow has only a 30 Day warranty 60 Day if purchased with a Bay CC When I asked why they didn t honour the company s 3 year warranty I never heard back from them Personally I think its crazy that a department store is able to replace a brand of their choosing with their own 30 DAY warranty On almost every other brand The Hudsons Bay sells they still offer the original company warranty on top of their own I feel like Parachute provides The Hudsons Bay with inferior quality products knowing that they won t have to warranty any of these Hudsons Bay probably gets a better wholesale rate and therefore only offers a 30 day warranty on these inferior products To me its like they re just after my money selling the reputable brand name but delivering a very sub-par product There are no Parachute stores here in Canada so no in-person option other than The Hudsons Bay lame as basically I spent 200 CAD on a defective pillow from the start that neither company could care less about

Purchased a patio table table and 6
Purchased a patio table table and 6 chair set in acacia wood on May 22 2023 for a total of 2600 00 Paid an additional 149 00 for an extended 3-year warranty 5 months later in October I notified HBC that the table top had a crack on the frame caused by overturned screws from the underside support bracket coming through the wood I sent pictures along with the original receipt There have been multiple email exchanges over the winter Invariably I have to place a follow up call days after each phone call because I rarely receive a reply Today May 27 2024 I have been on hold for 1 hour and 36 minutes with HBC customer service Since I never received a return call from my call last week on Tuesday May 21st I was told by the agent named KIA that the file for some inexplicable reason had been closed which was why I never received a response from my email of May 6 2024 After many apologies from the agent KIA she guaranteed I would receive a follow up call within the next 48 hours Of course I never did Which is why I find myself on the phone again to HBC today for 1hr 40 minutes I would estimate that as of today I am somewhere around the 10th phone call to HBC customer support with still no resolution in sight To-date I have yet to receive much in the way of either service or support

Defective product and damaged floor
We bought an Italian made sofa bed from Bay located at square one shopping centre The same was delivered on November 12 the delivery guys damaged our wooden floor and the sofa arms are defective In spite of many reminders the customer service has not responded till date Extremely Disappointed

Shameful and unacceptable They want to take 10 bus days to refund me although it s clear the delivery was not made I want to get my refund ASAP so that I can order again and take advantage of the black Friday but they do not want to refund me I spoke with a supervisor for an hour but nothing Just repeating the same process that does not make any sense You refund the customer and you claim with the shipping company later No reason to keep my money hostage especially when FEDEX has posted evidence on their website that it was left unattended in an unsecured area of a building Order 1222669286 Shameful and unacceptable

Bought a sofa and chair in January 2024
Bought a sofa and chair in January 2024 and paid in full Initially the order was supposed to arrive in February but was actually delivered in March The sofa s legs were chipped and after multiple phone calls and extensive holds I was told a replacement sofa would ship in May then June July September October and now December Most times they haven t even notified me that the exchange won t take place so I end up wasting countless hours on the phone to organize the next delivery The customer service team has both cancelled my order and offered compensation for all the inconvenience and lost work time I have yet to receive the compensation and still not sure if they will finally deliver my order in December It feels like they have used my money all this year and shamelessly hide the true issues behind all the delays
