Absolutely horrid to deal with
Absolutely horrid to deal with regarding my DCRA Had a qualifying event to change my employer called them to ask about what to do specifically and was told two different things by different people That screwed me out of 500 and has led to no end of hassle regarding this I would NEVER ever recommend these people for anything

Absolutely the worst company to handle
Absolutely the worst company to handle a DCRA account Customer service is lackluster at best when you can even get them They have been paid by my employer as of two weeks ago yet are holding over 300 of MY MONEY hostage because I m between funding cycles which doesn t mean jack to me and they couldn t explain it specifically Was told I would have to wait 10 business days from the date my reimbursement was -approved- to escalate the ticket I submitted the request on Oct 17th Was approved on the 24th Now I need to wait until the end of the first week in November

The process to getting my money has
The process to getting my money has exceeded what would be labeled as acceptable I was promised my money multiple different times on certain time frames that were never met I was lied to on numerous occasions about the expediting of deposits that were never met to my account This has been reoccurring every three days as promised for 6 weeks This is not okay and anyone who expects their money that they put in shouldn t have to go to these exhausting lengths to getting their money Lastly the only resource I m left with at this point and don t really want to result to is contacting BBB for some resolve to this mess It s so sad

Run from this company
If I could rate zero stars I would do that I transferred two of my HSA accounts from prior employers to Health Equity to consolidate them My account was then apparently flagged for potential fraudulent activity and it has been a nightmare since I have been told that member services reps would follow up with me three time but have received zero follow up I have spent more than 2 hours talking to what is now 5 member services reps plus one supervisor about attempting to get my account unflagged There was zero communication from Health Equity directly - no email notice or paper notice regarding the flag The information I have been provided by member services is different each time I speak to a representative and I do not believe that the fraud team understands how to properly evaluate activity for potential fraud

If I Could Give Zero Stars I Would
If I could give zero stars I would Our account was recently hit with fraudulent charges in another state wiping out all our funds which are deposited biweekly This company seems to lack any reliable system for flagging suspicious activity Given the transaction pattern multiple charges in a different state in rapid succession there should have been an immediate alert Now I have to wait 90 days for an investigation that will drag into next year Worse according to our HR department I ll forfeit any remaining balance if the funds aren t recovered This is our first year using an HSA and it s been a nightmare I ll be going back to an FSA and will never choose this option again

Nice People but not idea what they are doing
Very poor communication and although the people are very nice they have no idea what they are doing and it is impossible to talk to the claims people actually making the decisions My card was deactivated on accident and not once did they reach out to tell me and it took over 2 weeks to reactivate - no explanation and no apology Claims are denied without any explanation just canned responses The chat provides no real solutions

Run Away
Was a good company until this past year 2024 They now regulate a minimum cash balance vs investing On phone multiple times to get rid of their rebalance automation Told to go on website to fix website said to contact member services back and forth back and forth no solution Left for Fidelity and was charged 25 closing fee new as of 4 2022 Goodbye

Great if you don t care about your money
Great HSA options if you don t care about your money But Fidelity or other brokerage ran HSAs are way better You can t directly invest in stocks ETFs CDs treasuries or bonds with Health Equity - they force you into their funds Their funds have fees They charge you a fee to keep money in investment funds They charge you fees unless you keep more than 250 balance And it takes 4 weeks to transfer money to another HSA Which is unacceptable when financial firms have a 1 day settlement rule now

If I could give less than one star I would Health Equity s written correspondence is confusing and when you call for clarification you may get someone who doesn t speak English If you manage to get a hold of someone they will give you a different answer every time you call Currently I have been on hold for over 30 minutes If you are an employer and care for your employees please don t use Health Equity to manage your program If you hate or don t care for your employees than this is the right company for you

Have been waiting for 2 months to hear
Have been waiting for 2 months to hear from a rep that my acct was set up No one calls and I had to call them 4 times Now they tell me it s my responsibility to call 5 3 bank to alert them and then they will finish setting up the acct EVEN THOUGH 53 set this up for me they said they will not be contacting them that it s on me Ridiculous
