For me and many others Hear Play Music is GMTC Gospel Music Training Center I first discovered them via one of their many training videos on YouTube GMTC offers multiple levels of commitment including a lifetime membership which I opted for It was expensive but I m certain that it was the right move since I am and always will be a musician If you have no interest in learning theory and fundamentals and only need to learn how to play a song for church I would look elsewhere The song lesson videos often start out with today we ll be learning chords and progressions relating to the song and include multiple levels of difficulty The other aspect of GMTC is that it is a community of musicians desiring to learn at every level so there s a significant social aspect to consider as well All in all it s very comprehensive

Beyond the classroom

I have enrolled in the VIP program for the past year and a half When I started VIP Coaching though I am very musically inclined I had no understanding of how music works I used to try and find chords of songs but always hit a wall because of my lack of knowledge Now I can do that with more ease than before and when I hear a song I can follow what it is they are doing The knowledge imparted by Dr Onye is a great asset even outside class I can confidently say that it was his explanations that got me through music theory classes in college as he has this ability to teach with simplicity and great humor which helps retention As we speak I have already enrolled for my 3rd year in the program and I have not finished my 2nd year yet That is how much I believe in this program

The teaching and the teachers have been great about explaining step-by-step the ways to reach your productive goals It is comforting to see that they use their own life experiences humor and errors to show that making mistakes do happen but with time they can be worked out The video instructions have been easy to follow and give you a feeling that the instructors are sitting along side you The test following the instructional videos have been insightful and challenging but help to show growth immediately The staff has been readily available when needed and very constructive and sensitive to your inquiries Daily contact text messaging e-mails and personal inspirational encouragement has proven that this is a caring and supportive program that proves their mission on helping people know If you can hear it you can play it Thank you GMTC

I will forever be grateful to hear and play

I will forever be grateful to hear and play for the lessons with JP and Jermaine This sight came in so clutch for me throughout my music career Almost all of the songs my choir director threw at me where on the sight both beginner version and advanced chord version with the two hand chords I got promoted very quickly from Aux keys to main keys although both are fun to me they could hear the difference in my playing Wow what a journey I stumbled on a pot of gold when I found hear and play Forever grateful

They are very supportive the Lessons are amazing This programm that Mr Jermaine Griggs created is absolutely fantastic the lessons are well thought out which ever level you are at in your piano playing you will not be dissapointed you can go through the lessons and understand them the video s that are taught with Mr Jonathon Powell s are fantastic there is so much on GMTC HearandPlay that you can learn to play the piano you also have an option to join VIP classes with Dr Onye

VIP Music Program Just what I Need

This online music school has four different levels of instruction I have found that to be just what I needed because I have gaps in my Gospel music knowledge and this program allows me to float between levels and fill in those gaps Also if I am unable to attend a class I can find the lessons on the Replay Page This program has lifted the veil for me I am so happy I found this program because it is just what I need

This a great platform for aspiring keyboard players but be ready work and make a true commitment to learning and practicing I gain a lot from hear and play music But my time won t let me do as I should Overall this is a game changer for everyone learning play the piano
