We chose HelpAlert for my mum after finding out about them on the Which website My initial and subsequent call to them was answered quickly and Sophie was helpful and answered my questions We were able to have a 14 day trial period to see how mum got on We chose the watch as she could leave it on overnight especially as she gets up multiple times in the night and would probably not think to put a pendant back on It needs charging each day but she does that in the evening while she is watching TV and finds this easy to do It will only go onto the charger one way The silicone strap on the watch was quite awkward for her to do up tight enough and it slipped up and down her arm She had a few false alerts but the staff who answered were very reassuring when she apologised I subsequently spoke to a very helpful gentleman who said they were trialling elastic straps and they sent one out free of charge This is so much better as I can set the size for her and there is a simple clip for her to do up It doesn t slip and we have not had another false alert I am really pleased so far
