I m my opinion I would highly recommend giving this a miss and exploring other options even selling over going down this route After 8 years they receive 49 of the value of the house they will only speak to lawyers once probate is granted and you have to pay their lawyer fees as well as your own You must pay for the property valuation also they bear no cost at all only their initial outlay So if after 8 years them receiving 950000 after lending 200000 seems right then go ahead No this is not a loan they are buying a share in your property if you downsize you will have cash and property that will also grow in value
