Zero Stars As a victim of fraud I just want to warn everyone about this company They are giving credit cards to anyone even if the applicant s information is fake Don t trust them Customer service is useless and their managers I spoke to Eric have no idea how to handle fraud accounts We asked for a phone transcript or email contact but nobody knows how to do it Update they advised me to call them it is a joke we called both companies and asked to remove fake info and we received no help Fraud information are still on the Equifax

Unethical business practices
We got Home Trust s Visa card to use outside Canada because they charge no more than Visa s fee for currency conversion Both our income and our assests are in the top 2 to 3 we have no debt and we have never caused a hint of trouble when decades ago we did yet they refused to give us a limit higher than 4000 For travelling this is often inadequate but we could prepay some of our charges Now however they are ignoring our prepayment when calculating our credit limit They no longer tell us that we may not exceed 4000 of charges at any time they tell us that we may not exceed 4000 throughout any month even if the prepayment means we actually owe them nothing or they owe money to us This change contravenes standard commercial practice that if it was ever announced was announced so obscurely that a normally assiduous customer would not see it None of this is ethical business practice Beware

Customer Service in the gutter
I don t understand whats happened with Home trust they were always so good professional customer service agents I had just called yesterday and today and 4 out of 4 was terrible they sounded extremely apathetic One girl said her supervisor will return in 3days 1 2 had incredibly poor comprehension and listening skills it was incredibly difficult to get anything across

Damn Well where do I start Caustic sounding music while you are on hold Made to make u want to hang yourself Then from an accredited mortgage specialist dear friend of mine you get 4 to 5 weeks to decide if u want to renew with them While big buy and girl lenders give u twice that time This morning was the proverbial straw I was instructed by a manager that u receive confirmation of ur choice of mortgage by mail AFTER your term is up Which is a lie For at least ten years of renewing with home trust I received confirmation at least BEFORE the term is upYou are left wondering if they even received the faxed docs If you at all can avoid getting in bed with these gaslighting people this company who BLATANTLY put profit maximization above customer service WITH IMPUNITY you will save yourself some dignity and cortisol secretion Caveat emptar

STAY AWAY Worst mortgage provider in the country
If I could give this company negative stars I would The worst mortgage experience I have ever had Where do I start Leaving an 8 000 certified cheque with reception and it went missing Being lied to during the pandemic by telling me the deferred payments during Covid could be added to the principal after the pandemic was over only to have to pay them back all of the deferred payments in one shot which was impossible especially after being off work for several months during the pandemic Horrible customer service and the people on the phone always had some sort of rudeness whenever I called them - from the reception to whoever I was talking to AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL Never ever do business with these criminals They should rename their firm HomeBust

Their system is down but no warning instead access is denied because of too many sign ins and calling them does not indicate the problem with an automated announcement Credit limit increases are ridiculously incremental They must have a very low opinion of who their clientele is

Tried to apply for a Hometrust Visa Have impeccable credit and thought I might give a smaller company some business since the big banks are well too big The amount of questions after providing a pay stub etc to prove my credit worthiness went too far I cancelled the application this morning I worry now that people may be intentionally rejecting people by making things intentionally too hard in order to steal personal information so watch your credit scores Stay clear of Hometrust Their process clearly is not designed to bring in good clients Something is clearly very wrong with their process and I don t recommend others take a chance with their valuable information

This card is awful they decline so many transactions as suspicious an uber ride is suspicious customer service is online to India any foreign transaction is declined as suspicious - so what s the point of the no FX fee what s the point of a card that gets declined all the time by fraud department as suspicious This card has no value

Tried to change my pin on their phone system But it doesn t work Then I called the customer service The lady spent a few minutes to verify my ID After that she told me she can t do it for me I must need to go back their phone system Why doesn t she tell me right at the beginning
