Unethical business practice

I live in Canada and I booked a flight through Hotwire com on November 22 2018 and on the 11am November 24 i found out the price that the price i though was in Canadian dollars was not actually 1389 12 Canadian but was 1 846 21 US dallor and not Canadian dallor I called them right away to cancel the flight and was told that i can cancel but i will not received any refund I was hoping to be changed a fee to cancel but no I think this is unfair why not calculate prices depending on were you living they have my address and then give you the option weather are not you want the calculated price If i had know i wouldn t book this flight because i saw other flights that couldn t cost that much Highway robbery unethical business practice i will be flooding social media to bring awareness about this company As well i will be contacting the business better Bureau this company needs to treat customers better

Years of wonderful service

I have been a hotwire customer for many years and have found it to save me money and give great service Please understand that you are not going to know what hotel or car rental company you will have until you have paid So if a specific hotel location or amenity is important to you this is not the place for you But if you are just looking for a comfortable clean room at a below market price and exact location is not important just a general neighborhood this works On occasions where they tell me the hotel and it is one I have had bad results with they have always been able to switch hotels I am a long standing customer so they probably do more for me than with a first timer The star ratings are usually spot on with occasional glitches If they say a hotel is near the airport or near the convention center it always is Hotels are almost always at a better price than elsewhere Car rentals are not always so so compare The fees can eat up the savings you will get Also remember that people with a gripe to air are more likely to post than people with good experience

I have never had a poor experience using Hotwire I ha used them a few times now but make sure you always opt for a 4 Hotel In Boston I got the Sheraton In Vancouver twice got the Westin Bayshire and Westin Grand Toronto also got the Westin I m just about to book a 3 night stay in Seattle I be no doubt we will get a good hotel Will post again to report Remember to go for a 4 or above and you won t be disappointed If you don t I would recommend ebookers Use TopCashback and you will save about 10 Also ebookers will give you bonus points in cash to spend on a subsequent booking Good luck I will also get 4 2 off a hot rate hotel on Hotwire via TopCashback

Total inefficiency

The most inefficient company I have ever dealt with dealing with them for one month to get a phone installed Waiting since October for phone installation three appointments thus far two no shows and one the installer came but was unable to install service in addition after being told numerous times to contact us on our cell phone they insist on texting and calling the landlord while he is at work on Wall Street trading and is very upset about all the communication coming to him rather than us Nov 20 appt no show Nov 27 appt no show now we have our 3rd appt for Thursday Nov 30 Six weeks to get a phone installed

Don t trust their secret suggestions

Not what they show Hotel I booked was suppose to be like doubletree Hilton but was closer to some cheap one star motel Utterly waste of money and fraud of a company

Hotwire is a total scam They are thieves who steal your money My hotel room was nasty had bugs and mold The room was not clean and was in poor condition Tv wouldn t work They wouldn t come up to fix it and I had to figure it out myself Hotwire refuses to refund me even though they acknowledged all my claims hard not to since I have multiple pictures
