Okay I know you have seen the signs outside of H R Block offices You can get 1 000 00 today And you like myself probably said yeah right Sure I mean it definitely sounds too good to be true This is in DECEMBER before taxes are filed Before the W-2 forms have been issued I mean who would believe something like that But anyway one day I had nothing to do so I went to H R Block and applied for an Emerald card advance Of course I knew I was just going through the motions Because I have thousands of dollars debt in collections and my credit score is abysmal So as expected I did not get a 1 000 00 Emerald card advance But I got close to it VERY CLOSE I was quite literally SHOCKED Tell you something else The H R Block Emerald Card is the best debit card out No transaction fees None Period And last year I went to Jackson Hewitt to get my taxes done They filled incorrectly and the I R S refused to accept my e-file I went to H R Block the same day Not only did I R S accept my return when H R Block filed it but I also got a refund over 5 000 00 Look if you go ANYWHERE besides H R Block to get your taxes done You will be making a BIG mistake

Two great experiencesBeing new to Canada having to do my own taxes was a scary concept Having tried to maintain my male pride and do it myself I caved and called HR block after buying one of their services On my first encounter over the phone Cory went way above what I d paid for and took 40 minutes on the phone helping me with the minutiae of filling out the forms When we realized it wasn t viable for me to do it this way he was extremely patient and clear I then went to the site in Hudson Bay near me and was helped by Svitlana who managed to do what I had been trying to work out myself over a week or so in 20 minutes with no hassle and very well managed expectations She did not over promise anything and although she said we might receive our refunds in 4-6 weeks I had mine in my bank account in 7 days Would highly recommend to any newcomers
