Terrible service from HSF group
Terrible service from HSF group Parkside Orpington I took my car in for a new washer pump and MOT today I received a call saying the car has had the washer pump replaced and passed MOT but they also found a fault with rear washer blocked so they have unblocked it at 37 extra cost No consulting us prior work already done Anyway picked up car and found a large scratch on rear bumper and car was absolutely filthy especially on back window where they have obviously just flushed sprayed or jetted wiper and jets When I addressed the worker he said a vehicle inspection hadn t been done on acceptance of vehicle and he was shocked and surprised car was in such a state unwashed and filthy He advised us manager would call on Monday On a previous visit to this dealer we had a fuel cover replacement as fuel door kept jamming and not opening We was so careful by only opening the cap with a tiny flat head screwdriver covered in a dust cloth so not to damage paintwork but when we took it in to be fixed they obviously opened the fuel cap using something metal and had several half circular metal chips around fuel flap opening We didnt say anything then as we was so happy to of got it fixed we just let it go but not this time

Overall Distressing experience
I spent close to 43k with Volvo Tonbridge HSF Group I was on the receiving end of many miscommunications and lack of follow ups which forced me to make 8 unnecessary journeys to the dealership over the course of 5 months Despite the car is still under warranty I had to pay 430 for diagnostics following a breakdown which Volvo Tonbridge attributes to the faulty installation of a dashcam by a third party a Nextbase 522GW front rear installed by Halfords To resolve the situation I had to pay 280 for an equivalent Volvo approved dashcam only to find out it is front facing only plugged into the 12v socket with wires clearly visible and and the camera placed at eye level of the passenger front window

Nightmare
Nightmare Last service was summer 2023 Unbeknown to us when we returned this week with an issue the Orpington site had closed and moved to Eltham Unfortunately they failed to mention this on their 01689 number when we booked it in a few weeks before Has we of known we would have booked it in with the Tonbridge dealer And as they had it over 2 days because they had to get a part that was 2 days emission charge x 2 as I was collecting and dropping off husband in my car We were not the only ones in this predicament either as we witnessed another disgruntled customer

Three months and still waiting for an invoice
Three months after an expensive repair that should never have been necessary - given the age and low mileage of my XC90 - HSF has still not provided me with an invoice My many requests have been ignored I assume from this among other things HSF is not prepared to stand by the quality of its work So I have no warranty guarantee for the work carried out This isn t the level of customer service or integrity I d expect from a Volvo main dealer But my experience is limited to that of HSF so who knows

Purchased a new demonstrator car
Purchased a new demonstrator car which had four areas of damage Rather than an apology for their poor pre-inspection an excuse You wanted the car too soon When the car was repaired existing damage was missed resulting in a further day without the car Our disappointment and inconvenience were not recognised or compensated by the garage I would not recommend this garage

Part exchanged V40 and had an awful
Part exchanged V40 and had an awful experience with car bought in December 2024 It is not drivable taken away on a Recovery lorry twice and I feel wholly distressed by the entire awful situation Ruined the weekend as cancelled special trip to Dorset and spend more on Taxis getting to work than I earn I cannot recommend McNaughton Ross HSF Volvo in Ticehurst

No reply to several emails
I enquired about a car this garage has for sale and when they didn t offer me a suitable part exchange for my vehicle they just went silent and wouldn t work with me to find a satisfactory outcome for both of us I wouldn t recommend this garage if you are looking at buying a second hand car avoid at all costs

Showed interest and genuine customer care What a pleasure
I bought my 2020 XC40 B4 Mild Hybrid from Squire Furneaux in March this year The car developed a turbo fault which I tried to resolve with the local Bristol Dealer I won t tell the sorry tale about how appalling they were here as I have left a very different review of them Suffice to say the Bristol dealer was awful and told me my turbo rattling noise was normal The team at Squire Furneaux were genuinely interested helpful and caring They diagnosd the fault within 24 hrs and then scheduled a warranty replacement for the turbo It was a pain to drive to Guildford and back twice but they gave me a courtesy car both times and showed real concern that I had to make those journeys I have to say that I would not hesitate to return even for an annual service rather than go anywhere near the Bristol dealer again
