One star only because there is no zero option
IKEA United Kingdom is the most rubbish and most shameless company I have ever seen I spent 656 pounds on a mattress and a gaming table on September 19th The order showed that it would be delivered on the 23rd but I did not receive it The customer service told me that it was out of stock It needs to be postponed to the 26th but I still did not receive it on the 26th After communicating with the customer service they said that it can be delivered on the 30th but I still did not receive it on the 30th and the customer service said that they could not find this top order in the system at all And only part of my other order was delivered to me and I don t know when the rest will be delivered The customer service only apologized but didn t know what happened It was a terrible experience The IKEA customer service in the UK canceled my order at will and placed an order for me at will Even the amount of the two orders was different and I did not receive any refund IKEA United Kingdom is the worst company in the world

A large part of my order missing
IKEA only delivered the top and sides of my kitchen work table but I did not understand that there should ve been another box with the shelves and door fronts until I opened everything and started putting it together It s a big heavy worktable I do not speak French so I had to have a family member call them They could not deliver the missing parts instead had me re-pack what had been delivered They made a combination return and delivery appointment but no one showed up my family is no longer here so I cannot speak French with customer service very well First I called the transport company and they said IKEA cancelled the delivery No email or explanation from IKEA I called IKEA and they said I would need to talk to a an English-speaking person and that that person would call me The person never called Meanwhile I have no kitchen I am cooking on a hot plate with all my utensils piled up I was supposed to be on vacation here after arranging for a kitchen Instead it s been very stressful and upsetting I am only here for a few weeks so if they don t deliver my kitchen worktable the package they want me to return will be locked in my house for the next six months and I m sure it will get even more difficult to straighten out in six months I am shocked at how bad the service has been with IKEA I always like the store but never had a delivery before I may have to accept the fact that I paid 500 for something unusable This is unacceptable customer service from an international company

Bad experience
Thinking of buying a new kitchen - beware of Ikea s 25 year warranty it stands for nothing We purchased our kitchen July 2023 We purchased everything from Ikea to make things simple including Ikea s measuring service and Ikea s own installation team to fit After all the measuring the fitters had to make some adjustments to some fixtures so we ended up the a couple of voids whereas could have had a larger pull out unit One worktop was bowed badly and the fitter wasn t sure he could complete installation Due to having a six weeks delay for a replacement the fitter with difficulty managed to join the pieces of worktop However the join was not brilliant The fitter took pictures of the bowed worktop and sent to Ikea for the record Baring in mind a kitchen is a work station and a worktop is constantly being washed down for cleanliness we now have a join that s opened up which looks shocking In addition we have a bowed door to the freezer and 2 bowed end panels We paid a visit to the Bristol store where we made our purchase to complain From there we have corresponded with emails and pictures of the faults to Ikea s Customer Care dept Ikea s response to this is mis use We have further tried to resolve this with their customer care without success We are now pursuing this with Ikea s official complaints in Milton Keynes We could not recommend Ikea s Kitchens We would have given zero stars but was unable to submit a review

bathroom cabinet
Bought a mirrored bathroom cabinet with lights after bathroom fitter had fitted it part of the led lights wouldn t work asked IKEA to replace part wanted me get the filter to remove cabinet and they would bring new one which I would then have to get fitter to fit before they would just replace a simple strip light part absolutely disgusting company avoid at all cost

My complaint isnt directly at Ikea but
My complaint isnt directly at Ikea but their Finance company and HelpinOne net I applied for recieved finance to buy furniture from Ikea When I was accepted for finance with Ikano net without my knowledge and or consent I was signed up for a subscription service at a monthly cost of 29 95 Let me make this VERY clear I did NOT have any knowledge that I would be signed up for this service nor did I want it Helpinone net attempted to take the 29 95 from my credit card I contacted my CC company and informed them of the above they are going to refuse any and all payment requests from helpinone net although I may still loose the 29 95 Ikea and Ikano net REALLY need to look into this and stop this happening to anybody else I was fortunate in that I spotted this pretty quickly but other s maybe the elderly or not finance aware people would not notice the payments going out of their account and will loose a lot of money for a service which they like me knew nothing about nor consented to subscribing to I would REALLY like Ikea to contact me regarding this if they provide me with either a phone number their number on their website keeps hanging up or an email address Ikea you have no idea how angry this has made both myself my wife how distrustful of Ikea their finance company this has made us

Bought an item using my 20 reward Had to return it and after two weeks have not received my 20 reward voucher back Contacted customer service three times Long waits each time They said I would receive a new code by email to use within 48hrs No code after two weeks so won t be reordering Disappointed after spending 2k

Do not use What an awful company My issues have gone on for over 3 weeks No response to many emails of complaint after error after error on their part then they mock you on the phone - My last call consisted of me being mocked about going to Citizens Advice The Retail Ombudsman I will be taking further action though the main action taken is never shopping here again Following on from my prior review I didn t think things could get worse It did Nearly a month of poor service The list could go on damaged items items that are the wrong colour failed deliveries and shocking customer service that has consumed many hours days of my life Over 3 weeks of a living nightmare and I was offered 60 as a good will gesture Insulting The customer service people mock you place blame on you and in honesty don t give a damn People need to vote with their feet and avoid this company at all costs as it will cost you not only financially but in time and with that you mentally It only takes a look on here to see what a joke this place is and what a joke customers are to them Just for clarity AVOID

Didn t succeed to pay online
On the website I ordered a big pile of furniture and other items Everything went well up until payment first I tried with a Mastercard debitcard I went through the verification process of my bank all as usual but at the return at the Ikea website they proposed me to pay as if nothing had happened Then I had a chat with Agent Agent from Ikea He or she took me through the whole commanding scheduling process again that alone took 45 minutes and ended up by telling me I should use PayPal why not tell me that to begin with which I did and I had the same problem payment not accepted or not received by Ikea Another bank card Visa same problem Today I wanted to try again but found out they had emptied my cart So long Ikea France

Kitchen fitting Customer service
How I wish I had read trust pilot before I ordered paid in full for Ikea Kitchen and fitting Having paid and been told that we should have an installation date in a week I lined all the trades up for a smooth installation for my tenant I subsequently spent hours on the phone over 3 months to the USELESS customer service department each time promised that someone would get back to me it NEVER happened At each phone call I gave them the earliest date that I could accept due to the prep that was required after 2 months of trying they did give a date with less that a month s notice which would have required the trades going in immediately I had to cancel the trades In the end I managed to communicate directly with the installer and asked him to give me a date and agree it with their area installation coordinator I have no confidence that I would have a date if I had not sorted it myself Once I had secured the date I asked if I could speak to the customer service manager to complain and was told that I would have to wait now until after the installation after each phone call I filled in the feedback forms not sure why I bothered please Ikea sort out your customer service department I am SO dissapointed
