This is my answer for Ikoula feedback over my previous reveuwI appreciate that the Ikoula Team has taken their time to react to my previous review even though they are placing the blame on me for the negative experience I had with their services I am writing this new review and in english because I want clarify to Ikoula Team the points I have raised in my previous review and they have pointed out to me in their answer yesterday To begin I would like to emphasize that all I have said are true facts which I can prove if necessary with all the emails exchanged in these past two months between Ikoula Team and I 1 - Like I have said before I was satisfied with Ikoula until I realized that my website was offline and this happened just after I had paid in advance an invoice for the extension of my new year 2023 contract This invoice was sent to me a month before my actual 2022 year contract would expire and I paid the new invoice 10 days before the actual contract expiration 2 - When I migrated my services as Ikoula mentioned in its answer to my feedback I was notified that everything was in order Once I have received a confirmation of this validation in December 2022 for me the migration was successfully done so I don t understand why Ikoula sent me an invoice to extend my contract instead to let me know or to notify me that there was a problem concerning the validation of this migration 3- After noticing that my website was offline already for a time I asked a professional help outside Ikoula to intermediate with its technical support team and I did not see any progress for the basic instructions and issues which were necessary to put my site online again from Ikoula side It is easier for Ikoula to blame now on me instead to recognize that their support team did not give the right guidance throughout these emails and screenshots exchanged between Ikoula and this professional person who was helping me with my website It was no longer possible to plugin and put it online again For this reason I canceled my extension contract for 2023 and asked for a refund for the invoice paid in advance 4- To finalize regarding the refund aspect in question I would like to express here that the money was FINALLY back in my bank account last Monday 16th October after my review went publically online My initial refund request for it was about two months ago and I have been writing since August weekly to Ikoula asking for my refund Indeed Ikoula was answering my request emails saying always that the refund was in the way or it was already being send to my bank account at such day specifical day of the week or that the refund already has been paid enz enz All these emails were answered by the Financial Department of Ikoula and I also have them in my files to prove I was telling facts in my previous review Bank transfers takes maximaal 3 work days even if it was processed with a Dutch bank Ikoula had my invoice paid in its bank account in 3 days so don t tell me that to refund me back need 2 months time to happen because I paid Ikoula via Dutch bank transfer and after 3 days i had a confirmation that my new year contract was paid but funny enough my website was still ffline I really hope that Ikoula Team uses my feedback to improve its services like it has been said in their answer to my rapport and make it better and useful to the actuals and future customers I am grateful this chapter with Ikoula is closed and glad that I succeeded to get my money back after my last week s review It was worth writing about So here ends my story with Ikoula

These guys are borderline criminals
These guys are borderline criminals I am in a position to take legal action against them I ordered a dedicated server from them so I could set up my Magento 2 website The price was reasonable for the specifications I waited around 3 days and I still hadn t received confirmation about my server or any guidelines on how to access it I emailed the customer support but they didn t reply Calling them was worse they don t pick up their calls and when they do they redirect you to someone else who doesn t pick up I eventually got access to my server about a week later but they installed the wrong OS and Plesk was misconfigured At this point I had enough and thought it would be best to cancel and find a more serious company Clearly these guys aren t competent to run a business Luckily I paid via PayPal and was able to request a refund under the 14-day timeframe This is where they started to act up They told me that I was not entitled to a refund under EU and French laws as I was a business customer I am in the UK I am neither in the EU or in France I am entitled to a refund regardless of being a personal or business customer if you provide shockingly poor service They would not let go of my money so I had to claim via PayPal Ikoula then LIED in the claim saying we requested special customisation of our server I then continued to get emails from them DIRECTLY outside of the PayPal claim in a passive aggressive manner regarding the claim These business practises do not belong in 2021 I seriously cannot comprehend how they are allowed to operate with their criminal ways to hold customers money and deny them basic consumer rights If you are looking for a dedicated server please do not make the same mistake I did I did not read Ikoula s reviews I now seriously regret it and I feel like I ve fallen victim to a scam Please research better companies and don t give these criminals your money

Attractive hardware - shocking customer service
We have been with Ikoula since the start of the year We ve had some outages but nothing major We saw an opportunity to migrate to a more powerful dedicated server at a reduced cost This we thought was a no brainer it wasn tDon t even know where to begin We had a new server deployed at the start of the month We couldn t pass any traffic on it for over 2 weeks On the 3rd week after numerous investigation our side we raised a ticket It turned out that they had blacklisted the IP they had assigned to us internally and also deployed an bugged version of unbound We asked for recompense and was only offered one week We refused citing the server has never worked since deployment and got an unhelpful person who claims to be the manager of everything He refused to escalate our complaint about the lack of recompense We didn t like his attitude in the ticket responses so we requested to make a complaint about him The advisor then responded that he deals with complaints We advised that this would not be suitable as the advisor dealing is who we are requesting to make the complaint about and it would be a conflict of interests This was constantly avoided and now has closed our account without our consent and refused escalation So now we re stuck unable to access our data unable to backup our data because he won t allow a complaint to be raised against him about his attitude in the ticket We are being bullied here of not being able to allow a complaint to be raised against someone We don t really care about the recompense as such now but not being able to put a complaint in is unacceptable We ve called up and their support team want to refer us back to the person who closed our account Literally going around in circles Update Initial Ticket 128166 - Request to re-activate account and complaint about advisor ticket which they try to close off silently 464371Update 28 8 21 Still cannot access the client area as they have locked us out meaning we cannot now pay any invoices which ultimately will mean the service will be canceled for forcefully Ticket continues to be closed off silently ignoring our requests Tantamount to passive aggressive behavior and bullying and we have emailed their confounders and CEO via LinkedIn

Cancelled a service as i ordered it with the wrong parts no refund and the support team wont respond to me to move the money i spent to another service i spent 50eur on a service and got the use of it for 10 mins

5 days server down
A server had an electrical failure and has been unreachable for 48 hours Ikoula s answer is that it will only be fixed at the end of the week That is we will be 5 days without a server This is simply unbelievable surreal never seen that in my life Not even in the worst hostings on the face of the earth It s the craziest thing I ve ever seen in my life Hosting whith care is something that doesn t exist at Ikoula See the answers Ticket 113724 We don t have an exact time frame for the moment Of course we can add the days of interruption to your billing date We will intervene this weekend in the afternoon we can t tell you the exact day yet Despite our best efforts there seems to be a problem with the Power Supply We ve arranged for one of our technicians to come to our Danta Center 2 to check the problem live The intervention will be done when a technician is available we will contact you when the problem is solved

stay away from these They provided support for the software which didn t work on their server They then asked me to upgrade the server I did Immediately after upgrading they say they do not provide support What kind of work ethics is that You provide support until before upgrade and after upgrade no support 14 days refund was also not considered They said I cannot get a refund Stay away from do not fall for cheap tactices

Very BAD service
My hosting provider Ermis in The Netherlands was sold overtaken by Ikoula Since then the service is quite bad If there is a problem it takes many efforts to make Ikoula solving it They most of the time try to solve just a little of the problem hoping you will be satisfied Ermis however checked if their solution worked So it was either fixed or not And Emis would do their best also in the evening and late at night Customers with a website are most of the time entrepreneurs and busy during day time Ikoula however stops working at appr 18 00 hours after that moment there is no reaction at all no service no help in urgent matters They say contrary that there is a 24 7 support don t trust this in all occasions that I had a problem they just stop reacting at 6 o clock and leave you with the problems also when they are severe

Ignoring TBW
Those guys are refusing to replace a NVMe that is running above it s endurance lifespan Western Digital says that the SN850 1TB can be used up to 600 TBW but they gave me a box with a 900 TBW and are refusing to replace one of the NVMe AVOID this provider
