Customer service ZERO stars
We ve been ING customers for almost two decades and we ve never felt seriously negative about them until today Their customer service is sh t Reached out via chat and then on the phone We have to contact them two separate times for two credit cards that are linked to a joint account Got two different answers The customer service we had on the phone responded annoyed and irritated to us She was also very condescending She talked to us as if we re stupid and a nuisance to her for wasting her time We didn t even have a complaint We were just clarifying some strange charges on the app that was probably a result of some background update they were doing because when we checked again they weren t there anymore But instead of offering that possibility she talked to us like we re crazy and idiotic Every sentence that came out of her mouth was condescending Disgusting Why bother getting a job dealing with customers who did not nothing but be concerned for their hard-earned money I understand one can have a bad day but she cut us off constantly like she didn t even want to hear what we re saying I am seriously seething right now ING you should do better than that

Worse bank you can find
Worse bank you can find I opened up an account 8 years ago in Luxembourg I am now forced to close it by the incredible fees applied to any transaction I did transfer some money to my niece and for no reason as they claim it was refused although IBAN correct they applied 2 times 25 euros fee for rejected transfer I immediately decided to close my accounts no need to have my bank sucking my blood

Unreliable poor service
Tried to cancel my account but couldn t because of an issue in their portal spent more than 1 day infinite loops of useless chat bots phone choice menus before I was able to get in contact with an actual person The reason why I cancelled was the at one point even weekly outages Their app and payment service were too unreliable

DO NOT trust them with your money
Honestly find another bank and DO NOT trust them I requested a charge back after an accidental purchase of 400 and they didn t care to help while I was 11 years their customer Absolutely unfair treatment I will change my bank 100 since ING don t care for your money s safety We need banks to evolve with this modern world especially with the internet they need to build a safe place for you Clearly ING hasn t done that Edit they called me but they still don t bother to help lady in the phone was nice not her fault Proved my point again

Poor services
Quite unhappy with this bank It s a nightmare to even activate the app their system does not read non dutch passports with a consequent investment of considerable time without any benefit Their IT systems are clearly outdated given that they can t even manage to read a passport They don t even say what to do in case it does not work so I am a bit lost right now I would recommend abn-amro to expats instead of ing

Not honest Customer service
Customer service doesn t help or know anything regarding the business accounts I called them multiple time and each time the tell that it well take up to two weeks for me to receive the card when I called 4 weeks after they said that i wasn t even getting produced yet and again well take 2 weeks but they are not sure If I have been told that it would take that long instead of telling me that it well take 2 weeks I could have found another solution

Canceling a business account is not
Canceling a business account is not possible through their website Tried several times costing me a lot of time at the end of the process it looks like it s canceled After calling them it seems they have not received any cancelation Finally they did send a form to fill by email After an other week waiting still no confirmation horrible contact person on the phone and ING charged again an other month costs Last year closing an other account at ING costed 4 months loads of mails and telephone calls Don t fall into their trap hands

The customer service is absolutely
The customer service is absolutely ridiculous You are on hold forever and they say have fixed the problem and then when you go to access your account the problem is not fixed Also do not expect an international benefits All security codes can only be sent to Australian numbers so if you are overseas you are unable to do online transactions how on earth have they not made it that you can receive the code through the APP yet

Worst mortgage management
If i could give 0 stars I would Worst account management ever If you can do not take a mortgage with ING I took a loan in December 2023 and until this date my mortgage calculation is still incorrect First I thought it s incompetence but now I am beginning to believe that they neglect you in purpose as it is in the bank s advantage not to apply correctly your payments After calling several times to complain and my account not being fixed I am considering engaging a lawyer to help me I feel powerless I don t know what else to do
