Let down in every way

I booked a room for my daughter and myself at The Innkeepers Lodge Maidstone via Booking com 10 minutes before we arrived at the hotel I received an email from booking com telling me that the room had been cancelled by the hotel We went to the hotel anyway to see what was up - and to have somewhere to change our plans from Apparently the Innkeepers Lodge had known about the problem since 6am but had too much going on to bother telling us No offer of compensation No help to find somewhere else And a these things happen tough luck not our problem deal with Booking com attitude from Mitchell in central reservations at Innkeepers Lodge group office What a disgrace My advice would be to avoid all hotels in this group at all costs they will leave you stranded On their website they boast of a warm welcome what a joke

Bounced our booking on arrival and lied that we didnt show up

Booked a family room via Booking com for the Toby Birmingham West in June for a one night stop late August for returning from Blackpool to Bournemouth All confirmed and multiple emails even the day before welcoming us but when we got there on the Saturday night we hit trouble First the lady said they were overbooked and she had to get the manager who said that the booking was cancelled by us then when challenged he said by Booking com that morning which was a lie When i complained to Booking com Toby manager lied again and told them we didnt show up Im furious as i drove 2 1 2 hours to get there and had to drive another 3 to get us home at midnight My legs and feet were like baloons and have had to take three days off work as they have been so painful

Dalkeith Midlothian Rude

Stayed at Innkeppers lodge in Dalkeith Midlothian unprofessional rude reception staff clean comfy rooms and pub ok for food I recommend if going not to try ask reception for guidance and help as you will be ignored and unsatisfied

Breakfast paid for but no breakfast served

Rooms ok Bit dated and needing a deep clean but they do However the reason for the one star review is the lack of food and the don t care at all attitude of the staff and company customer relations time The all you can eat breakfast was only toast and coffee No cook turned up and staff offered no apology or alternative Charged nearly 3 for a bottle of water despite not getting fed I tried complaining to the company and was told to call the restaurant reservation number On discovering that this was what the number was and having already had dismal service from them I asked the company to contact me directly Nearly two weeks later and they have not bothered

I had a room booking for the following day which I had to cancel I rang the evening before to be told on voicemail that central reservations was closed So I sent an email to cancel asking for it to be acknowledged With no response I rang central reservations the morning of my room booking and spoke to a rather unfriendly person who begrudgingly dealt with my request I then got an email that was very unclear about whether I was being charged for room or not NO charge as flexible room rate So I rang back and now got a person who was less helpful than previous person She seemed very dismissive of me for ensuring I was not charged for the cancellation This was not a good experience at all with central reservations who could benefit from customer interaction training

I unfortunately I got what I paid for room wise at Portsmouth Reception staff were pleasant polite when booking in and out Strong smell of sewage in the bathroom so went without breakfast Christmas lunch function here was I m afraid the worst I ve ever experienced Cold plates dried up roast potatoes heated up turkey slices with jelly like gravy sprouts had the colour boiled out of them couldn t cut the Yorkshire pudding Obviously knives weren t sharp enough

The Bulls Head - Meriden

Excellent service and delicious food We had booked The Bulls Head as we were exhibiting at The NEC and we will be booking here each and every time we come back The service was great and a special mention to Ram in the restaurant who was gave us excellent service Also special mention to chef Tom who made two of the best sauces I have ever tasted The food was great and was taken to the next level by the sauces We can t wait to come back later this month

Stayed regularly at innkeepers lodge dalkeith Very nice staff rooms very clean and spacious Great value for money A wee hidden gem Will be back
