IXL is bad because of its SmartScore It says IXL s SmartScore is a dynamic measure of progress towards mastery rather than a percentage grade It tracks your skill level as you tackle progressively more difficult questions Consistently answer questions correctly to reach excellence 90 or conquer the Challenge Zone to achieve mastery 100 IXL also boasts about its excellent reviews but only 10 of the reviews are good The other 90 reviews are bad Anyways back to the SmartScore Many reviewers complain about it At first if you answer a question right it will give you 10 points But at 90 points it gives you only 1 to 4 points When you get a question wrong at 90 it drops from 6 to 8 points I am a student and I was getting really stressed with it Please ban IXL

This Website is the WORST THING ON EARTH

This website is only good for people who are ready to stress themselves out to death Other than that there is no point in this existence in such a website This website IS SO FREAKING ANNOYING LIKE YO WHAT IS UP WITH THAT SMARTSCORE YOU LOSE 6-10 POINTS BUT GAIN ONLY 1-3 POINTS Honestly This is the worst website on earth and can t ever be fixed I ve used this website since 2018 and haven t seen the good in it NEVER EVER USE THIS WEBSITE IN YOUR LIFE Unless you have those teachers who assign it to you as homework I can totally see the point in using such a website

Complete trash and rubbish

I ve used it and its complete trash First of all the point system is negative as if you answer a question correctly you gain 5 points but if you do it incorrectly you loose 10 points Don t get me started on the challenge zone A challenge should be OPTIONAL In the challenge zone you only get 1 point per correct question and if you get a question incorrect you loose around 5 points

Someone please update IXL

This is the worst thing ever I hope this message gets through to a person who works for IXL because they dont know what they are doing to kids If parents and teachers are looking for kids to enjoy and be enthuastic about learning then introduce them to DFM or something but stay miles away from IXL

If you want to picture IXL in your little pea brain p1ss of a mind think of going into home bargains and have that cardboard police officer start doing back tuck handsprings up onto it bum crack and spawning Pok mon s that looks like expired shopkins and they all eat you That the most easiest way to picture it Everytime I make a slight mistake instead of motivating me to do much better next time I get uncomfortably verablly harassed through a screen by what looks a rthro roblox avatar with a suit and with a moving head and physically choking me using technology through an IPhone 12 screen telling me to find x or I ll get skinned In all honesty I believe X should be taken to court due to all the pain and torture I recieve from it Really disappointed I d rather shove curling irons up my fish flaps

Foreword Maybe IXL means I X Lives causing students souls to suffer by convincing teachers to assign impossibly difficult tasks while X-ing parents in the process by snatching every penny that they grinded through hard work by imposing costly subscriptions Detailed reasons why IXL should be gone 1 Their questions contain fallacious content That means they teach wrong things which is worse than just playing on your computer additional anger arising from having to click Got it instead of Next Question to move on even though you only got disappointment 2 You can t even report incorrect content unlike the Khan Academy website3 Why is it ridiculously expensive4 Question explanations are generic and not specific to the question i e all questions in one chapter have the same explanations 5 Even the explanations are fallacious6 Progression is virtually impossible you get 2 for correct answers and -10 for wrong answers one misclick and there goes your progress they claim this is so students really know what they are studying but as said in 1 the content is fallacious so what they really know is how to not lose their temper 7 Because of it it takes at least half an hour to finish an assignment R I P if your teacher gives 10 IXL assignments 8 If you are not American you can t do most of the content e g you need to know U S States U S Measurements U S Spelling U S History etc 9 There is this thing called Class Leaderboards which is easy to rig e g goal skill masters or questions - grind Kinder lessons No wonder everyone gives 1 Star Reviews

Students with any learning disability or ADD ADHD should avoid this software or anyone for that matter because it has a rigged point system it also causes students stress out a lot it also can have negative mental health effects so this is why people need to avoid this software
