"Edwardian Calendar best one for a while "

I really like the Edwardian Calendar I think this is the best Advent Calendar for some years lots of things to do and plenty to keep my 6 year old grandson amused I like the old favourites such as decorating the tree and designing the snowflakes and enjoy doing the puzzles I admit there could be a greater choice of music especially as the price is now so much more but overall I am enjoying this year s far more than that dreary one during the Pandemic So far no one has reported technical problems with this year s version although there was a problem in the past I did get a refund eventually The thing that bugs me about the Advent Calendar is that it used to be a lot simpler to get started and was perfect for older relatives who aren t tech savvy now not so much

"Good stuff despite some growing pains "

As always I m quite pleased with this year s advent calendar I noticed they are trying a new technology always risky that caused the price to go up and some grousing among old customers I m divided whether this is a good thing or not however I think when things shake out folks will be happy with the change Customer service has been terrific in the past however this year the new web site was making finding any person to talk to difficult I hope they can be more forthcoming again soon

"Satisfied user"

Have been using the company for many years without any problems latterly using the IOS app on iPad Pro Excellent selection of cards with regular new ones no problem using the JL address book or my own cards go out immediately or on day specified 01 00 hrs to family and friends both in the UK and abroad and recipients always delighted with them Have never used the advent calendar so cannot comment on usability of that

Well I M enjoying it this year Awful lot of moaners on here including somebody saying it wasn t Christian enough and that people of other faiths should go elsewhere Very unpleasant

"Love the cards Calendars but this yr is lacking "

We ve been purchasing the cards and Advent Calendars for about 10 yrs Multiple copies of calendar for family I ve always enjoyed the calendars immensely and looked forward to unlocking each day This yr 2021 something happened I don t know if a new person is designing it of if they re tired It isn t enjoyable Not very Christmassy not as interactive and each days little vignette is much simpler and shorter than in the past Even the home with the cozy room where the tree is and all isn t as nice as usual and they ve simplified decorating the tree and such to the extent that it s almost pointless to do Usually there s always a solitaire type of game in the home also but not this year The greeting cards are still as great as ever but the calendar this yr is almost a drudge to open each day because I did pay for it because there is nothing exciting about it at all I would even prefer to have an older more Christmassy and quaint one recycled again

"I really can t understand all the bad "

I really can t understand all the bad reviews of the Jacquie Lawson 2022 Advent Calendar Yes it was a bit glitchy at the start--I had to uninstall reinstall it on Day 1--but after that there have been no problems This is the best Advent Calendar yet and I ve been buying them for years The snowflakes one creates appear not just in the window but in the snowfall Instead of merely a video every day there are activities The graphics are delightful There are great recipes a guide to Sussex trees to decorate birds to feed gifts to wrap wreaths to ornament lovely Christmas music and games to play My little granddaughter LOVES the match-two game If I have any complaint at all it s that there is no hint function for the daily find-an-elf It took me SIX days to find Elf 9 Yes the calendar cost a bit more than it did in the past but doesn t everything Inflation is miserable but I love playing this game every morning so it s worth it to me And I ll probably play it again for Christmas in July

4 to 5 Stars 96 b8 Months Age Bought 2020 Renewed Nov 2021 for TWO Years My opinion FANTASTIC Took Me a few Trips to get My Mind programed tofollow as close as possible to Their Directions Most Times Problems are I didn t understand December with Progress I have made I Emailed 107Beautiful Christmas Cards Thanksgiving over 95 Birthdays and Get Wells for a Year Each Time I improve Takes a few Times and You will be astoundedwith the selection cost and ease My Jackie Address Book now has over 125 YOU MUST Believe this It is the TRUTH

"Sussex Advent calendar"

To be clear upfront this review pertains only to the 2022 Advent calendar I swore after the awful 2021 Advent calendar that I would never buy another one but was persuaded by a friend that even awfulness could be a Christmas tradition I was pleasantly surprised by how much better the 2022 calendar was - almost a return to the standard of the Edinburgh and Cotswolds calendars I especially appreciated that there were activities on so many days instead of video after video aimed apparently at children

"I ve have been using JL for years"

I ve have been using JL for years This year was an exception Delivery of a lot of the cards was delayed 5 days I don t think this was a JL problem as I decided to look at the delayed mail and EVERY one was with an email server operated by MICROSOFT hotmail msn sympatico etc Next year I will have to send all cards a week before Christmas DAL
