I have been looking at ebikes for along time When I purchased the RIP current s it was the best deal It had everything that I was looking for on ebike The big battery and all the extras it being a class 3 28 to 30 mph and range of 70 miles plus on eco i shouldn t run out of battery at all When I buy another it will be a jucied bike Having a great time on my rip current s

Rip Current S - Best Bike and Best Buy

I have now riden my RCS about 100 miles and I have kept reading the reviews spec of all similar bikes While there was some problems caused by shipping Juiced Bikes has resolved these issues and is redesigning their packaging Juiced Bikes service and Technical support are excellent I should start by saying I am an older rider and enjoy trail riding This is my frist electric bike and the frist bike with hydraulic disk brakes I bought the bike unseen The rear hub motor greatly lessens the need for chain maintenance My concerns about high pitched noise was unfounded The thumb throttle does an excellent job in conjuction with the torque sensor The 750 watt motor 1000 watt assist does the job I would not want less The hydraulic disk breaks are wonderful I would not want less The 26 fat ties do a great job in the sand and mud The package of fenders rack and lights is a great value I have up graded the seat post to a spring loaded post do to higher speeds with the bike The hand grips for the Handel bar are an excellent design I think I will add them to my other bikes So far the bike will do 20 miles of dirt bike riding on a charge The Rip Current S is an excellent bike and is the future of trail riding No other electric bike match it s specs eNJoy

An awesome bike

An awesome bike My 75 year old dad rides his Rip Current S frequently Has now passed 1500 miles since August 2018 and has lost more than 35 pounds in the process He finds the bike fun to ride as compared to walking The bike has worked well except for a couple of problems He does wish his bike was shipped with the 52 VDC battery instead of the older 48 V battery More range would be desirable We are now considering getting one of these for my mother so she can ride with dad Unfortunately this model is not made with a step through frame When purchased the bike was rated for 300 lbs which was part of the decision to purchase this bike over the the Pedigo Sport which was rated for 450 lbs Clearly the Rip Current S is more bike than the Pedigo But for some reason the new Rip Current S specification is now 275 lbs as opposed to the 300 when purchased last year The biggest issue dad has found is keeping the chain and gears clean We are concerned about using materials around the electrical connections and the drive hub It would be useful for Juiced Bikes to do a video on chain cleaning The Park Tool chain cleaner did not work on this bike All in all a great bike that is fun to ride

Having a blast

While I have only ridden the bike five days commuting I m having a blast Everything is working well and the bike doesn t mind the 20degree mornings a bit Please ask me again in two months Thanks Jim

ZERO Problems in 2500 MILES on my RipCurrent S

I purchased my RipCurrent S near the end of 2019 before Covid-19 hit During 2020 I put 2 500 miles on it with no issues whatsoever I did replace my tires at about 2 000 miles but could have ridden a few hundred more miles or so on them I did experience two flat tires during that time and I didn t want to experience anymore I can t blame flat tires on Juiced Bikes that s normal wear and tear I m now running Tannus inserts with thicker motorcycle tubes as well as tire sealant in the tubes because nothing sucks more than being miles away from home pushing an e-bike with a flat front tire except maybe not owning an E-bike in the first place They are an absolute blast It s like being a kid again Most people are frustrated with ALL e-bike companies right now because E-bikes are relatively new and the E-bike market is like the Wild Wild West right now which is why you re probably reading reviews Also Covid has jacked up the supply chain Cream always rises to the top We will see what happens with Juiced Bikes as the market begins to stabilize I feel that when the dust finally settles Juice Bikes will still be standing I chose Juiced because back in 2019 there weren t very many companies offering 52 volt batteries and they gave the appearance of being a solid company Originally I was eyeing a Rad Rover but chose the higher performing Rip Current instead I also purchased a stock Scorpion from Juiced based on my positive right experience and for battery compatibility and have had ZERO problems with it as well

The bike is really great

The bike is really great It came very well packaged with no problems during assembly The scrambler has lots of power and the controls work well once they are gotten used to Controls well up and down steep inclines as far as power and brakes are concerned This thing is a lot of fun

So far so good

So far so good I have 74 miles on my CrossCurrent X so far I was surprised at how heavy it is and I have added a couple of things to push its weight 80 pounds I weigh 180 lbs so I was pleased to ride 42 miles with about 40 battery still available My terrain is quite flat with small hills but we do get wind here in Boise ID I had some weird noises that occurred when I pedaled but they are now gone There seems to be some slight resistance from the motor slowing me down if I try to go less than 15mph by coasting or slow pedaling On Ecco mode I pedal pretty much as hard as my non-E-bike I m just going 5mph faster The motor support is definitely noticed on hills and into the wind I previously rode very little and I m in my 70 s but in sport mode I easily got to 28-29mph sitting So far I am very happy I got my Juice Ebike
