Excellent Manager - Excellent Service
The customer service Sean Riley the manager of the Chapel Hills Mall store gave us was outstanding He completely blew our socks off I took my wife s quartz watch in to Kay Jewelers to have them replace the battery Unfortunately as they were putting the back on the watch they cracked the crystal Accidents can happen That s they they are called accidents Sean immediately said he would have it fixed but that it would be a couple of weeks before it would be ready After a few weeks I called the store Sean apologized for not having called me and said that Kay had to send the watch back to the manufacturer because it had a unique crystal that Kay didn t stock He said the manufacturer told him the watch wouldn t be ready for another three weeks When I checked back about three weeks later Sean told me he had not heard from the manufacturer yet and that he would check A week later he said the manufacturer couldn t give him a new schedule for when my wife s watch might be ready At this point I suggested it might be time to be thinking about a replacement rather than a repair Sean apologized for the accident and for the delay and offered to replace the watch with one that Kay Jewelers carried He offered to let us come into the store to see what he had or to go online and pick out a watch He was most generous about the price of watches he suggested we should look at We went online and my wife picked out three possible watches to look at I called Sean and told him He asked what our first choice was and since he didn t have it in the store he ordered it to be sent to him from Denver Two days later he called to let me know the watch was in We drove to the store from our home in the mountains so my wife could look t the watch in person When she saw it she said it wasn t quite like pictures online in that it was a much rosier rose gold color than she had expected Ryan said that he wanted her to be pleased above all He asked what she was looking for and brought out two other watches that he had in the store that met her general description Again he emphasized that he wanted her to be happy with any replacement watch she chose and apologized profusely for the accident and the delays It turned out that she said one of the watches we perfect It was one of the three that she had picked out online Sean said that perfect was what he was hoping to be able give her and that he was glad she was so pleased As I said accidents happen It was unfortunate that the crystal on her original watch was broken but I can t think of any way Sean and Kay Jewelers could have handled it in a more customer friendly and professional manner It was obvious that Sean s highest priority was to not just keep a customer happy but to delight his customer And that is just what he did It is really refreshing to be able to work with someone who has that attitude Sean is to be commended My wife and I really appreciate him going the extra mile to delight his customers
