KBS were great

KBS were great They provided consultancy support and negotiation expertise on the sale of our company to a direct competitor Because the sale was to a competitor and of course a sale is never certain until it actually completes disclosure was difficult KBS were great mediators and advisors during this time With the help of KBS we are able to disclose what was appropriate and necessary and not anything that might damage our company should the sale fall through KBS advised on the financial aspects and ensured our best interests were looked after despite the buyer initially having quite an extreme position with regards to working capital and funds held back

We used KBS to gauge interest in selling our business Their upfront fees were lower than others we were quoted and should be seen as a marketing expense and not a guarantee that they can sell your business They produced a prospectus and confidentially contacted a variety of potential targets We had several interested parties and conducted online and face to tace meetings in the presence of KBS s professional sale negotiator One of these resulted in an offer which after some negotiation was accepted This is where their knowledge was invaluable They guided us as to what to accept and what to push back on The legal expenses deal we signed up for was also very good value in the end 12 months after the sale we can reflect on what a good deal we got and how we would not have achieved this on our own They sell companies every week we will sell once in a lifetime A sale is only achievable if you find a buyer in the current market that matches or exceeds your expectations In our case it did It is a bit of a gamble so you have to be willing to wrote off the initial fee as a marketing expense if no buyers come forward
