KDP is the worst publisher on earth Because Amazon is a behemoth they don t care about the customer experience The only positive thing I can say is that they do call you back within 5-10 minutes when you request a call during business hours You never get one person dedicated to your case Every single time you ask for help someone different answers I can order the same book and it will come sometimes with glossy paper sometime with matte They ll tell you glossy paper doesn t exist but my book has come in glossy paper multiple times--they just don t allow you to select it If I order 10 copies of my children s book half will be good the other half will have inconsistent white borders at the bottom or sides I go through the same exact issue every month and it s never resolved I can t tell you how many times Ive send pictures and order IDs It just happens again the following month If you are a children s book author please do yourself a favor and avoid Amazon KDP

Amazon KDP stolen my money

From the beginning of Russia-Ukraine war KDP keep stolen my money I aa resident of UAE but my account is on russian mobile number and I cant get OTP sms on this number Support cant help me more than 1 year already But my book Launch an ICO Successful Initial Coin Offering Token Crowdsale still sale I see new good reviews there So Amazon KDP just stolen my money fo 16 month

It looks like Amazon embezzled my money and intellectual work

I wrote a few books and they started selling on KDP Amazon But for 18 months now I have not been able to get into my personal account because I don t receive a password on my phone although I never set one From the same floor payments also stopped I already changed phone and sim card And numerous attempts to restore access through the support service were unsuccessful - I wrote more than 100 letters and called support 7 times It looks like Amazon embezzled my money and intellectual work I ran out of energy to fight the KDP AMAZON bureaucracy

Scam

OMG I can t believe I almost fell for this I nwas seconds away from giving my credit card number to publish a journal based on a plan I saw promoted on Instagram I spoke to the rep 5 times The costs were expensive 2 200 but seemed enticing as they promised a full money back guarantee It wasn t until I looked closer a fake Amazon logo and realized they have no affiliation with Amazon and were providing none of their promises in a contract form

What a waste of time

I ve honestly never known such a poorly run company I wouldn t have bothered even setting up if I d read these reviews I d only had my account a few days and I d uploaded a colouring book featuring my own artwork within 24 hours my account got shut down and it s taken almost a month to get a reply which says I was trying to manipulate Kindle services and that s all they ll say Absolutely bonkers I ve never known anything like it Creators be warned don t even bother with Amazon KDP it s a useless time-sink

Used to be good now appalling and ignorant

They used to be responsive but I ve sent numerous emails for the last two weeks and nada Ive been with them for 12 years and never had this treatment I ve got chronic health conditions and this is just making it worse They ve really gone down the pan and ignoring emails time and again indicates they must have something to hide aren t transparent are remote and unaccountable

I lost access to my account and royalties immediately after blocking scammers who were contacting me by phone and email

Either a very complex scamming operation Or just have no respect whatsoever for authors Immediately after I blocked people I had become sure were scammers I lost access to my account and royalties with no clear explanation why I was also completely blocked from using Amazon as a customer

We lost access to our kindle account

I warm everyone to give something important like a book to the hands of this company We lost access to our kindle account and they are still selling our book without our permission and without paying our royalties Every time I call to ask their help they invent all sorts of excuses or they play the game of balling me through different departments In the meanwhile they keep cashing in They are not worth the trust to give them your important work
