key bank is NOT for small business

I have a small business account with key bank and my debit card was hacked While waiting for my new car I noticed charges on the other side of the country so I called fraud dept right away while the charges were still pending well they did nothing the charges went through and almost 4 000 was taken from my account well to my surprise they told me because it was a business account it may take 3 months to get my money back while they investigate I dont think they did any investigation because I contacted the store in California where the fraudulent charges were made and they were never contacted by key bank They did tell me that there were other purchases on another key bank card and it seemed funny to them because they had never heard of key bank Well it turned out to also be fraudulent which means key bank is VERY laxed in their security Key bank took the money back from the merchant about 3 weeks after the fraudulent charges and now its been 8 weeks and all I get is a runaround My advice to everyone is DO NOT do business with key bank especially if you are a small business As soon as I get my money back if ever I am closing all my accounts and never having anything to do with key bank again

The bank is victimizing victims In the past year I have had more than 8 fraudulent activities on both personal and business accounts The banks solution is to replace the card and then add protection programs to charge you for The solution is never to open a new account Just keep losing money and then pay them money Do not use Key Bank

Thieves You re really going to keep my 7k for 7 days Who does that Thieves that who Next time somebody deposits a check please let them know you will be holding it hostage for 1 week so they don t use that money Especially right before Thanksgiving OMG all your reviews are negative how are you all still in business

Key Bank sucks They say they can take from 12am to 8am to post your direct deposit social security check It should be there at 12 01 am My check is still not there at 6am Had to talk to a foreign country to find out if it is being deposited or not Not only does Citizens Bank post your direct deposit payment after midnight they also pay you your check days earlier then the regular posted day A new feature by them Go Citizens

We have a business account with them Their customer support team out of Cleveland is indifferent and surly They never answer the phones in their local branches but ask that one leaves their phone number and they will return your call They never do never

Contacting customer service is a nightmare The reps are untrained do not know how to properly analyze a client s bank account to give out accurate information and do not listen to understand what the client needs What can can expect is to be talked down to disrespected goaded into a fight I have also contacted their executive relations team which is not much better You will be lucky to receive a vague and unhelpful email that doesn t resolve the issue Don t expect a response when you reply to their emails I have illegitimate overdraft fees on my account I have called for over two months and I cannot get anyone to assist me

Never in my life have I dealt with a more incompetent organization customer service reps are untrained and haven t a clue what they re doing They pass you around like a hot potato They refuse repeated requests to speak to escalate to a manager The 8th person I spoke to today was a manager named Brandon I FINALLY go through to a manager who BERATED me for accidentally calling him Braden instead of Brandon after I had put up with over an hours worth of ongoing mistakes on the part of multiple staff members including him How could a bank like this possibly remain in business I ask in all sincerity

This bank is worthless I tried to deposit my payroll check as it was paper due to it being a new account I didn t have any access to MY MONEY until the following day I didn t have a back card as it again was a new account I hate this bank and i hope is goes under Stupid rules and who are you to tell me that I can t have access to my money Worst bank ever

If I could give zero stars I would Every step of the experience with KeyBank has been miserable They delayed the closing of our home purchase We showed up at the closing with our lawyer and they didn t show They rejected a credit card application because my wife showed a different address on her credit report despite holding a joint mortgage with them at the address we were trying to validate Their website is down and I can t transfer money I highly recommend you look for a different bank This experience has been a nightmare
