absolute rubbish

absolute rubbish wont plan any kind of route for any reason just demands a waypoint why wont it just create a loop based on start and end point in the same place

I purchased the Komoot Premium

I purchased the Komoot Premium subscription on 12th April 2024 but my experience with the app has been very disappointing The app was unreliable and not functioning properly When I used it on the day of purchase it was difficult to navigate and the route planning was poor It sent me on confusing and sometimes unsafe paths similar to what other users have mentioned in their reviews Despite not using the app since that initial experience I was hoping for some flexibility when I requested a refund especially given my financial difficulties Unfortunately Komoot s support strictly adhered to their 14-day refund policy and refused even a partial refund Their rigid stance on this matter and lack of consideration for my circumstances is quite disheartening Overall I found Komoot to be unreliable and not user-friendly The lack of flexibility and poor customer service means I cannot recommend this app I will be sharing my experience to ensure future users are aware of these issues before committing to a purchase

Using this app is indescribably bad One word BAD I have no effing idea what this is good for None not even a hint I cannot wait to have this in my memory stay away from this stupid thing it is absolutely useless

Terrible app

Terrible app A two hour hike took five-and-a-half hours because of Komoot It repeadly sent me in the wrong direction It told me to turn left when I should have been going right and vice-versa on many occasions It frequently sent me down dead ends When I followed signed footpaths it told me to turn back because I was no longer on the tour I lost a lot of time energy and daylight hours because of this useless app It even cost me money because it was getting dark and I had to get a taxi back to my start point Lucky to have found a place with a taxi This app is dangerous

Komoot is just crap

Experiences with a hiking route planned with Komoot Overgrown paths with nettles thorns Blocked paths or destroyed bridges that Komoot considers passable and that now require a major detour Aggressive mountain bikers on hiking routes Extremely steep sections and Komoot rates this hike as easy I open the Komoot app and see ads even though I just paid 30 euros Komoot navigation tells me to turn back because I had to pee off route Or - best of all The Komoot app crashes and everything is gone Komoot thinks this is the kind of adventure we re all looking for Not me I ve been through all of this and that s why I hate Komoot It s not an adventure for me it s just crap

Really poor business practices

Komoot told me that because I d unsubscribed from notifications and marketing they did not inform me of my recurring subscription Very poor customer care I want no part of a company like that I ve now cancelled once they told me how to find it hidden away on the website They won t have my money again Apart from that I dislike the app Limited choice of routes and some woeful routes The app has limited functionality - there is no search function They seem to fancy themselves as a Facebook page for cyclists walkers etc There are much better sites

This app not going in the right direction pun intended

I bought the world map back in 2018 thinking that even though komoot was a bloated social network oriented app it was still ok-ish as I could download maps for offline Several updates later maps cant be downloaded anymore so what I paid for I dont have anymore And the app gets more bloated and is now just a portal for more in app subscriptions purchase

Great concept very poorly executed encourages trespassing

I ve spent a little time with the free version and the trial region etc Plotting any routes to plan recreational mountain bike rides is difficult You provide a starting point and an end point and then points that you wish to visit along the way The application then generates routes between the set points This is a great concept but unfortunately it almost always chooses routes that traverse private property and in some cases routes that just do not exist It appears to me that the app is trying to keep you off main roads as much as possible but more often than not it would send me down an overgrown or impassible path only to re-join the good forest path 20 meters further down
