A very positive cataract removal experience

I consulted Professor Ayliffe after a less than positive NHS experience having discovered that the NHS does not supply toric lenses for astigmatism correction as they are more expensive The Professor was kind encouraging and very helpful the procedure was seamless and very successful and I recovered amazingly quickly I would recommend Professor Ayliffe unhesitatingly

Cataracts procedure Feb 2024

I contacted Professor Ayliffe at Spire St Anthony s Hospital for removal of the cataracts in both my eyes I am currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer and had a limited window of opportunity to get this done before my chemotherapy began If I had left it I would not have been able to drive during my cancer treatment Prof Ayliffe saw me promptly and arranged the appropriate tests and the procedure itself well within the time He operated on both my eyes and the procedure was painless Within a couple of hours I was able to see generally and within days I could see with pinpoint accuracy I can now drive draw and paint and read books again I want to thank Professor Ayliffe and commend him and his team for performing such a delicate and crucial procedure with speed professionalism and great success

Great experience with cataract surgery

After contacting numerous clinics in Birmingham where due to having WMD in one of my eyes non were willing to consider me for corrective vission surgery I contacted a clinic in London where I was lucky enough to meet Prof William Ayliffe Professor Ayliffe examined my eyes explained the risks gave me the choice and eventually fitted replacement lenses in both my eyes I am very pleased with the outcome and am very grateful to Professor Ayliffe for what he has done for me Professor Ayliffe is at the top of his game and a really nice guy It was a privilege to meet him and I couldn t recommend him enough
