Like most negative reviews you ll find
Like most negative reviews I ll report that they have very pushy sales overpriced gutters and horrible customer service along with questionable installation Upon meeting with them I was quoted 19 000 to do the house and garage Mind you the house is a single story 48 x28 and garage is 20 x24 Not huge by any stretch After I gave him a hard NO he made a phone call to his supervisor Acting surprised he got off the phone and said that he doesn t know how but he was given permission to miraculously reduce it to 14 500 through a series of promotions and discounts and exclusive offers I ve read tons of reviews on this exact thing and so I kept pressing Long story short I only winded up doing the backside of the garage and the house for 5200 after initially being quoted almost 9k for just those areas Shady but I kept telling myself of the few good reviews that I ve read and so I pulled the trigger after whittling them down They come and install it I know that my standing seam roof has a drip edge that should go over the gutter but the installers insist that it doesn t I let it go while telling them that I ll call them right back if water leaks on the backside The guys that do the install are courteous enough Well after they install it I notice that the 48 seamless section got kinked And you guessed it the water leaks down the fascia I also notice that they never delivered the splash blocks and black piping petty but I did pay for those So I call them back having trouble getting in touch with the rep and manager Finally we schedule a date and time for them to come out and remedy the situation They never show up I called them again and reschedule Today is that day No show again Called and left a voicemail to both guys Can t get in touch You can bet I ll ride them hard until they do the job right Here s the thing The gutters themselves seem to be of good quality water overshoots sometimes but they generally work All your positive reviews will reflect this But there s so much negative that drags it all down Installation was not good business practice and pricing was shady at best and customer service is atrocious All in all do not buy from them They are sketchy don t stand by there workmanship guarantee and I ve read countless reviews on them failing their no clog warranty as well I probably should have not gone with them A product may be good but if it isn t backed up by proper install good customer service and a solid warranty what good is it If you do go with them know your contract agreement be ready for a fight I m ready I ll be posting this review elsewhere as well to protect prospective buyers Don t read reviews on their website there s a reason why you can t leave a review on their own website Be thorough and read from sites like here

READ THE REVIEWS ON THIS COMPANY FIRST
Ok I had set an appointment up for today But had previously set an appointment with another company out to do other work at our house We were notified just the day before Sunday that the original work to be done was coming out on Monday When the gutter representative got here I tried to explain that when the other company called my husband left to do what he needed to do as the gutter company said they neeeded access around our home I explained that I tried to call them to cancel but I had deleted the phone number out of my phone and forgot the exact company name so I could not call His face completely changed and I knew this was not going to go well I felt so bad that I was willingly going to offer to give him money out of my pocket for my failure I explained this to him and he really nastily said that could I at least call the 800 number so he could get paid for this call I would have been glad to BUT he kept his mouth running it was in a nasty tone so I told him you know what I would not be calling I know how businesses work and would normally not have let this happen On his way down the steps he called me a few names and flipped me off IF he had just tried to let me speak he would have walked away with a promise to set up another call 1 day and would have had gas money and enough for lunch in his pocket After I wrote this I came across reviews on them Out of all reviews ONLY 1 was good The others were 1 or 2 star 1 person had actually just got done ripping their work out because he said it was done and it looked awful READ THE REVIEWS FIRST BUYER BEWARE

So uncomfortable unprofessional
We contacted LeafGuard to get a quote on gutters because 1 - we needed them badly as our new home had none is surrounded by trees 2 - their flyer in the mail mentioned a 100 VISA gift card for a free estimate We thought win-win Brandon rep shows up is very polite as he does his whole presentation finally gives the price - 10 000 We thanked him advised the product sounded wonderful but that was simply a price tag we couldn t justify This is when things started getting uncomfortable He called his supervisor to try to get the quote down but for the sake of transparency I told him not to waste his time as there was no way they would cut it to a price we were comfortable with to move forward We had a quote for a very similar product offering the same warranties at under 5 000 He then started repeating his same questions about how we liked the product if we agreed it was worth the value he could get the price to 8 000 He planted himself in our home for an uncomfortable amount of time even after my partner I both politely advised it was too much left the room Eventually he got the point left but you know what he didn t leave behind The form to complete for the VISA gift card I tried calling the same ph that I set the appointment up with because I misplaced Brandon s business card I was hung up on twice I tried calling from a different ph than the one they had in the system - suddenly I got through to someone I kept it simple made no complaints but asked for the form He said he forwarded the info to the Richmond office they would be in contact When I asked for a direct to follow up - oh they don t have one I went ahead emailed the Richmond office email from the website as well to ensure my request was addressed Guess what it s been a week crickets So disappointing After making us uncomfortable in our own homes - you d think the least they could do is follow through on their promo So glad we elected to go with a local contractor They came out at half the price with a nearly identical product got it installed in less than a week had highly professional individuals from start to finish I recommend Gutter Shutter with BNW Builder over LeafGuard any day

High pressure sales pitch
We re seniors in our older home here in NC We ve had a lot of overflowing and blocked gutters so we thought we d get some estimates First guy is what appears to be a nice young man from Leaf guard We wanted an estimate This fellow walked around the house with his phone on a long selfie stick taking photos on our gutters for an hour or so Then he wants to no insists on showing us this video of how well Leaf Guard gutters work Info we researched on line later on indicated they don t work all that great After coming up with an estimate of wait for it 29 000 we say no thanks He says is it just the price holding us up Will we sign NOW if he can lower the price Then he goes into this talking to the manager routine on the phone gets it down to 21k We really need something done so we say okay and sign Later our kids ask us if we re out of our minds Perhaps we were Now I ll give the company credit for one thing There is a 72 hour 3 business day actually cancellation clause and I did sign the cancellation form and sent it certified and also emailed them as well They did honor that so we re off the hook Nonetheless their business sales model sucks If you ve ever had a timeshare sales pitch thrown at you this is very similar except you can t get up and leave because the dude is in your house

LeafGuard Gutters Just removed
Just had them removed You still have to clean them or the water won t flow into the gutter You need to have shingle overhang they require The installed was bad It had a reverse slope and it drained water in between the gutter and the fascia Fascia rotted and took out some soffit I expect they would work if installed correctly and they are close to the ground so you can clean them

I answered facebook ad to get the free quote and
I did call to get the free quote and when I got the follow up call I was badgered about a spouse being home to at the same time to go over everything I responded that I was the one making the decision and spending the money but this guy was only concerned about if my spouse was going to be home So to business owners let me explain something it s not advantageous for single women to always let on who is in the home as a form of protection so if you don t have enough time to answer follow up questions from potential customers that s what the guy kept saying and would not move on then you re too busy for my money and if you re that interested in whose in my home then maybe your up to no good you re the one I m protecting myself from I m absolutely not interested in your business and I hope others take heed

Warranty is useless and pricing excessive
We bought a house with LeafGuard already installed for most of the roof While the warranty is transferrable its also quite useless as all it covers is effectively clogging Here someone will show up with a little tool to clear out leaves but the mud and dirt remains It supposedly gets washed out Any other issues incl a very common one with LeafGuard like mold build up is not covered We asked for a proposal to have the system installed on a new roof we put above our deck and got a quote that was almost 10k for less than 60ft That is beyond excessive and is outright criminal in my view I strongly recommend to not do business with this company

We had LeafGuard installed and
We had LeafGuard installed and like a previous client we have a roof valley To prevent overflow they installed an extra downspout by the front door We needed to divert the water the entire length of the front of the house they didn t have enough drain pipe with them at the time so water had to drain into ground next to the house which was next to our lower level Before they came out to extend drain which was a week it rained Water came into house we ve live here 40 years no water soaked carpet and pad LeafGuard denies any fault for this Product may be good but service and accountability are horrendous Buyer Beware
