Not helpful at all but they tried
I used this service when my company reorganized Though every person I talked to was very friendly and caring this service wasn t helpful at all I left a detailed review on my experience here and someone from LHH contacted me to offer me another month of service with a new advisor My new advisor was knowledgeable and helpful but the service was the same It s basic information that can be found anywhere on the internet for free The LHH s website is rough It doesn t function well and it s navigating it is not intuitive The calendars don t sync notifications are unhelpful a lot of the info is just links to YouTube videos LinkedIn articles and an internal job board that simply mirrors Indeed You only get one rewrite for your resume and the advice they offered wasn t very insightful If you are offered the service by your employer do not elect to use it It s unhelpful and honestly kinda frustrating If you find it helpful to talk to other people who are in a similar situation then this is for you They encourage people to help each other by talking about their job search experience If you re more about action this is not the service for you I do think LHH is aware of the website functionality When I spoke to someone I wanted to go into detail about my experience with the website but they kind of ignored it and made it about my advisor who was fine

Mostly self-guided window dressing with personal coach who s totally MIA 98 of the time
Having spent a month or more with LHH provided from a mass layoff by my prior employer I can say that the experience is very lacking The online self-guided tools are hit-or-miss with the branding expert service only a 1-time deal though no back-and-forth work to truly optimize one s resume being the highest offering My personal coach has been mostly unresponsive Come to find out it was for a good reason in their personal life Understandable but reassign those affected to a different coach I ve been active in the LHH system for over a month and most questions sent to my coach have gone unanswered I ve only had one brief intro meeting with them and all other meetings requests have continually been cancelled or pushed out indefinitely As someone who is a multi-certified coach myself I ll say my experience of LHH s coaching service is - they don t have one What little I ve gleaned from my one conversation with my coach validates that they don t really do any coaching are really there to direct questions and occasionally do some ra ra cheerleading but ultimately seem to serve little purpose outside of feel good you have a coach virtue signaling on LHH s part Other services - which again are all self-guided with no accountability from coach or others - are mostly window dressing The online website experience provides almost no way to get in touch with LHH outside of emailing your assigned coach - who in my case is was MIA 95 of the time Since there s no support contact path on their website I can t even ask an administrative rep to reassign me to a different coach or ask logistics questions All that has to go thru the personal coach If they are unresponsive you re left on your own with a seemingly good luck with that attitude from LHH In the end LHH seems to be from my experience - YMMV a window dressing offering from employers attempting to make victims of mass layoffs feel better about being tossed into the job market unexpectedly Anything more than that could likely be found on the web for free LHH services aren t costing me anything but my former employer has almost certainly paid them something and a larger support community currently my LHH support community 0 people and one self-guided website could be found on reddit I give them one star because they do have offerings that may prove beneficial to some Past that it s lip service window dressing at most

If offered LHH services by your company consider requesting a cash equivalent instead Pros Prompt in initiating contact Cons The knowledge base is outdated easily accessible online and they actively promote to use ChatGPT Coaches mostly seem like therapists rather than career experts Some coaches appear to be those who couldn t find jobs themselves and have turned to coaching instead CV rebranding is basic focusing too much on ATS without a deep understanding of current algorithms or hiring processes LinkedIn profile reviews are superficial typically just adding a custom link professional photo and basic updates to the About and Experience sections Promised exclusive job leads and networking opportunities through their alumni network do not materialize All coaches are freelancers often holding other non-professional jobs and using their roles to learn from their clients Outdated job roles are still advertised such as old positions from Barclays There is no option to choose a coach suited to your specific job search needs The company claims to have helped over 350 000 people find jobs last year but individual coaches refuse to provide direct statistics Advice on networking often involves basic instructions to use your existing network such as searching for companies on LinkedIn and then cold messaging employees which rarely succeeds The 3-month program costs your former employer around 5 200 with claims of daily job leads and networking connections that unfortunately just don t exist

I don t suggest people work with them I was talking to a mean and rude recruiter called Hannah yesterday I applied for a call center position I don t consider myself to have zero calling experience so I answered yes on experience I understand I never worked in the actual environment but I wanted to try to present myself I wasn t taking this job posting as a joke This is the reason why I decided to give it a shot I tried to present myself and explained to her when I was working in the medical field I needed to be on the phone a lot I would appreciate her telling me the client really requires someone to have such background instead she said I was wasting people s time I hope she understands that not everyone is lucky like her to still have a job A lot of people got laid off and still struggling We are all humans We should treat each other with kindness and support each other especially during this difficult time We really don t need any more negativity or being mean to others I really hope no one else will be treated like this

I was looking for a job in Toulouse France I am sure this company is very useful if you speak french in my case was very not helpful Also the lady who supposed to help she barely spoke english She did not have any ideas except learn french

Ghosted by 2 of their HR Professional Recruiters
I was contacted by LHH for a management role in which I submitted my resume for I went to the interview within 24 hours I was offered a role as a director Great right I inquired about benefits and asked the recruiter about hours in the office Her response was since this is an executive role there should be some flexibility I shared with her my preferred hours and was called shortly after and was told the offer was rescinded I asked Why but was not given a definite response I sent the recruiter 2 follow-up text and a phone call one was in regard to another position and no response I heard from the recruiter yesterday stating the client will be reaching out to me and that she has been working with them on the back end After speaking with LHH s client that was not the case The client felt after meeting with other candidates some with more experience and with MS degrees I was still the best candidate Would never recommend LHH this is the second time this has happened to me by 2 different recruiters

Poor Experience
I couldn t agree more in terms of overpromising and absolutely under delivering I spent 6months working with them as part of a corporate restructuring and only got a resume out of it It s a lot of watch this video join this 30min session very generic After sharing feedback on my experience I was contacted told I would have an additional 30 days with a new coach set the initial contact date and heard from no one until I reached out to three different people and forwarded my communication Honestly a poor experience

Over promise - delivered a CV review - nothing more
Was paired with LHH after being made redundant Total waste of time Did not find a single appropriate job on their platform The CV review was out of date and the reviewer couldn t open the file Never spoke with the talent placement team it s promised as a key tool in the video that you are asked to watch on day 1 They promised salary guides - there was none networking events - there was none industry specific recruiters - never spoke to one All of the webinars were for the US TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME
