I have purchased approximately 10000
I have a credit account with Matco have never missed a payment Today I was advised that I was behind it was negatively affecting my credit I spoke with Chance in customer service he was very rude kept talking over me did not want to assist me with the issue Chance told me that Matco has been calling me to inform me the status of my account is behind but I have not received any calls I tried explaining this to Chance but he was only interested in telling me that I was wrong They reported me to the credit bureau for no payment in the month but they send the report out before the month is over I made the payment on 5 31 yet Chance refused to let me talk to anyone else to try to resolve the situation He was completely unprofessional disrespectful Matco tools arbitrarily reported me for missing a payment for May even tho they processed my payment on 5 31 My balance before my payment was 110 50 After my payment today I owe them 40 50 that will be the last I do business with this company Tools are overpriced for the quality Snap on will get my business every time

Horrible service
I have purchased approximately 10000 dollars of tools from them the franchise went out of business now the impact quits and they want me to pay and send it off for repair they say it s 1 no out of warranty I have ordered tools and have had to wait for more then 7 months for them to either come in our be warranty the worst company for a mechanic to buy tools from

Predatory Practices Falsified Payment History
Horrible service Only when you are spending thousands will they help you I have been paying them weekly for about 12 years but now I can t even get a distributor to come to my shop and replace things under a lifetime warranty Worst tool company I have ever dealt with

Don t have any family issues
On 02 05 2020 I opened a credit account for a toolbox I was told would cost a total of 8000 00 I received my first receipt on 02 23 2020 via text message in the form of picture that only showed the top half of the receipt The bottom half of the receipt had been folded by the Matco Tools rep to conceal the total balance being charged I requested my account number directly after this message the same day I logged into MatcoTools com and saw I was actually being charged a total of 13936 00 and not the total of 8000 total The Matco Tools Rep said I would be charged I asked for an explanation and the Matco Tools Rep said to disregard that amount because that s just how Matco Tools writes it up On 02 26 2020 I explained that this is not the amount I was told I would be charged and I m not comfortable with my Matco Tools online account showing a different amount than he was saying I informed him I would like to exercise a voluntary return under the return clause included in any consumer credit transaction The Matco Tools Rep said he would reach out to his manager and return the next day The Matco Tools Rep then said he had a medical emergency and never returned to my job location he had been servicing prior to me working there I called the repossession representative and initiated the return directly after The Matco Tools Rep did not return I was given an ETA of 7 days which would have been a lick-up date on 03 04 2020 Matco Tools and The Matco Tools Rep then proceeded to message me about payments and neglect to mention anything about picking up the box On 03 10 2020 I made another payment The Matco Tools Rep never returned and stopped responding to my calls or texts This was an obvious attempt by Matco Tools and their representatives to wait until beyond the return clause to pick up the box and fabricate negative payment history etc Matco Tools and several of their representatives then proceeded to fabricate dates of late payments collections and repossession on my credit report in an obvious attempt to negatively effect my credit score They added a remark of involuntary repossession on my credit report as well as several other negative remarks that were also falsified Matco Tools received several payments from me even after I initiated the return and emptied the box and left it available at the job site the Matco Tools Rep was servicing They proceeded to pick up the box resell it and then fabricate negative payment history on my account and consumer report I have receipts and communications as well as the return paperwork that Matco left all information blank on and told me if I didn t sign it they would not take the box The dates and information this company listed on my Matco Tools account and my consumer report are falsified I will attach some of the evidence I have to this complaint I will withhold the rest of my evidence in the event this complaint is upgraded to legal action on my behalf This is a final attempt to resolve this situation in lieu of the filing of an FTC complaint formal lawsuit being and all other applicable legal actions This company is in clear violation of Permissible Purposes Sections 623 604 C The Fair Credit Reporting Act The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act US Code Title 15 Ch 14 B 1638 US Code Title 15 A C D E 1692 as well as several others

their drivers dont stop at stop signs
So I have been using the same rep for almost 3 yrs about a year ago I switched to making my payment once a month instead of every week in December my wife and I were informed she would need to have back surgery asap so she did 3 days of Christmas 2022 I told my rep that she would be out of work and since it wasn t job related she would not be getting paid while out I told him my payments for a couple of months would be irregular and whenever I could make them about 3 weeks ago 2 23 I made a payment and told him I would try my best to make another payment the next week but wasn t promising I owed a total of 358 after spending thousands last Fri around 4ish I was under the dash of a Porsche working when my phone rang I didn t atop working to answer it immediately rang again when I didn t answer the second time my Facebook messanger started ringing back to back I still didn t answer bc I was working then I start getting text so I thought it may have been my wife trying to gwt in touch with me bc of something being wrong nope it was sales rep I looked at messages and proceeded to call me thief a liar and piece of crap bc I wouldn t answer my phone right then and there and made a few other threats to me he also ran my debit a few times in the past without my permission and he acts like his family is more important or better than anyone else s needless to say I went off when he came by the shop the next Monday and gave him my piece of crap 3 8 battery ratchet back and told him to kick rocks I have spent thousands of dollars with matco over the last 20 yrs but I won t ever again if this is is how they allow their reps to treat people

Horrible customer service lead rep
Horrible customer service lead rep needs training matco deactivated my student account 3 months into a 2 year program I am still a student nothing has changed besides me making honor roll I gave the lead rep every detail about me I sent him my current schedule straight from ctc link I gave him my teachers information why can t they email him and ask if I m a student Matco sends a matco rep to the college every Thursday can t he verify me I use to be one of the only people that would walk pass snap on and mac and spend my money with matco Then found the same tool I was looking for under icon WOW Also just FYI snappy and mac easy to get verified and can t wait to spend money with them DISCOUNTS GALORE

Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever Bill your representative is rude and lies He sold a scanner to me that was supposed to be faster Never could get it to work properly there is little or no tech support Bill took scanner to try and resell so I could recover some of my money He never tried to sell it then he came in demanding money I told him no and he became very rude I asked him to leave and never come back unless he has money for me

I had some things come up that
I had some things come up that prevented me from working I called matco to try to get in a plan so I didn t get too far behind They told me I had to be behind on my payment before we could set anything up Now my only option is to pay 350 on top of my monthly payment or lose my box I tried getting ahead of this so I didn t have to stress or worry about one more thing

I purchased a tool box in 2018 and have set up automatic weekly withdraws from my checking account it is now 2023 and today I received a credit alert for 3 months past due I received NO phone call from Matco stated there is a problem with my payment I contacted the company and they stated my bank stopped paying in May I contacted my bank and the last payment request was made on 5 1 2023 My bank also shows NO payment denials so I m confused I have also verified my debit card is the same number and that it has not expired This account has been current and payments have been made since 2018 This morning I called and was told I have a 1 min wait time I was on hold for at least an hour When someone did answer I let them know I wanted to make a payment to bring my account current and they took my S S and disappeared this happened 3 times The customer service for this company is the worst I have ever dealt with in my 57 years of existence I will NEVER purchase another Matco product
