Zero stars very corrupt company Be careful Read reviews
Zero stars Be very very careful before renting from mega drive They charged us 700 on our credit card after we left the country for damage we did not do They sent fuzzy pictures showing no damage where they stated it was They have done this to other customers read the reviews The city and airport in Budapest really needs to investigate this corrupt company Rent from Avis or Hertz not Megadrive

NEVER AGAIN
Well after reading the rest of the reviews here I see that I am one of the lucky ones At least they didn t charge me for any damages They only charged me 3-times of what my reservation was claiming some kind of upgrade that never happen How come I didn t read these reviews before being played by them - VERY HELPFUL Thank you everyone for taking your time posting it

After returning the car I rented in Busapest I came home and got an email with a bill of 848Euro with sime blurred pictures of a small scratch Of course I didnt do that at all They are Just Thieves Beware

Company is cheating and tricking customers - stay away
I had rented a 9 seater through a online rental company VIPCars VIPCars had passed the contract to Megadrive at The car was to be picked up at Vienna Airport At the airport the sales person tried multiple times to sell extra insurance lower risk to me which I declined Then they tried to sell an upgrade which I explicitly declined multiple times at different price offerings from them But when I got the invoice which was already deducted from my card some days after having returned the car They has charged me 137 EUR more than what was in my contract with VIPcars Apparently they had anyway charged me for an upgrade and winter tires and cross border fee And they had logged in their system that this was according to my wish Either the problem is due to the sales incentives given to the front sales persons that makes it attractive to overcharge or it s company policy I have been in multiple communication and provided evidence that I declined the upgrade but they have not accepted any responsibility At car handover they presented a new contract that had to be signed with different more expensive conditions that what was in the offer from VIPCars For me this is a principle case where the company deliberately cheat customers once they are through the doors of their sales office Cars are not checked on return with the customers If you do anyway rent with this company I suggest - Do a full checkout of the car and mark all damages and go back into the terminal to get it signed off not that this would help as their customer service is not on the customer side anyway - Do a full picture video documentation on the state of the car when returning the car- Do a very careful check of the contract they hand out for signature It may NOT correspond to the agreement you made beforehand with the company

Absolutely awful
Last time I rented the car I did get a little better car that is a positive thing but what happened is just total disgrace While searching for the car on the web I saw this offer WITH UNLIMITED MILEAGE Few days after return an e-mail with the receipt came with about 130 euro charge for extra mileage before tax so even more than that was the charge After sending e-mail and chatting with someone from Mega drive they did not reply when or if I will get a refund Now it has passed over 3 weeks nothing was solved and I did not get my money back so I guess I will not get it I rented cars from many houses and I did not have any problems with them except with Mega Drive Absolutely disappointed and angry Highly unrecommended and avoid if any way possible Update Customer service contacted me few days ago and they returned me the money they took for extra mileage I am glad that we sort that out in the end

DO NOT RENT HERE This company is terrible I was subjected to hidden fees from the moment I spoke with them 20mins late picking up my car cost 50 Dropping it at the airport with no staff Just key drop cost another 30 I wasn t told about charges to a different drop off than the pick up and overall the service was non-existent

DO NOT USE THIS SUPPLIER
It would be better if you would choose another supplier I used to use this supplier serveral times for 5 years and I was sure that I know every regulations and their tricks but It was not They said they give me another car at the same price BUT with another extra charge ex winter tire fees airport charge and extra insurance which is suppose to be served free of charge What made me even more angry was that the moment I got the key and left they recommended that I get additional insurance They said I need more insurance Are you sure sure sure
