Try to avoid this company at all cost
The worst ever energy provider that i have Bills are not accurate and even you made a changes on how you used your electricity the bills has none stop going up I did go to chat box and its a useless one you wait for very long and when its your turn they asked for your details and after it suddenly discontinue and asking another details its another tactics not to answer your questions One thing don t fall into their tactics having free TV Fridge etc my goodness they will get all this money back from you Try to avoid this company at all cost

Mercury is the rip-off company if it comes to electricity or gas supply most of the time they will overcharge you with their estimated reading which means even if u are you using less you end up paying double the amount And very poor customer service

Persistent door salesman peeping in my home
Persistent door salesman wouldn t take No for an answer Insisted he ll be back until we agree to sign on we will call cops when he knocked he then turned around and peeped into my home and began speaking to me through my bathroom window whilst I was going to the toilet I immediately jump up to handle the situation obviously was faking his accent and broken English Intruding on property insisting on selling a deal I m not in the market for Practically threatening he ll be back Poor work ethic overall Get a new company tactic

My grievances with Mercury
My grievances with Mercury -Mercury does not communicate changes despite having people s email addresses -Mercury s customer services is poor-Mercury is poorly staffed waiting times are unacceptable-Mercury does not respond to emails perhaps if it was a money thing -Mercury does not care about customer s interests and does not give customers advise if another plan would be better-Mercury happily passed on my personal details e g email address to another company without seeking consent-Mercury is a reflection of the careless attitude that technology affords

A frustrating experience
A frustrating experience dealing with this company I have called them three times each time I had to wait on hold for around half an hour I m trying to get electricity connected on an investment property but they will only give a four-hour window for someone to come out They really expect someone to wait for four hours and were unwilling be flexible with this I ve called another company and they have been so much better to deal with I would not recommend Mercury while their staff were pleasant their policy and procedure is designed to give customers a bad experience

I am hoping this review will get us
I am hoping this review will get us somewhere We moved into a new place was in a 2 months and received a 1300 bill According to them we used almost 4000 units We received a letter saying that FOR SOME TIME NOW the reading was wrong I rang and ask when was the last proper reading Mercury said they do not know as we moved in 2 months ago confused Yes We disputed it on the 3rd of September and was told not to pay anything till they ve sorted this out It s been a month we received a bill saying we are overdue We just want to know the correct reading from the time we moved in We kept track of our reading during the month and it is not even close to what they estimated After this get sorted we will be moving to a new provider

Why oh why did I switch over
Switched over my power internet mobile after a door salesman offered a great bundle Was happy with transfer app rewards seemed really good but unfortunately that s where my positive review ends Lots of problems since first bill They sent me a second modem by mistake theirs not mine I only realised after reading my second bill in full that I d been charged a 5 fee each time Long story short I sent the modem back early October and just today asked why I m still getting a 5 fee and still no credit from prev months charges and the reply was a credit should show on your account next month Fair enough for the credit I m fine with that but I m not paying another 5 fee for something i sent back over a month ago and it was their mistake Dont even get me started on their mobile prepay Sometimes you just shouldn t go for the freebie deal If it looks too good it probably is Dropped calls missing texts and their technical team would only speak to customer care not me directly so 2hours of answering questions and sending test texts I gave up and switched back to 2 degrees No More Issues Honestly wish I d ignored that door salesman because this is the worst switch I ve ever made If you ve got a good provider don t switch because of a slightly better deal
