Honest Review of MetroNet service over the last few monthsI never thought I would ever say I had BETTER service with ATT but I am there at this point Since the installation of Metronet a few months ago we have NOT ONCE been able to watch a full movie TV show or football game without it rebooting resetting or freezing Over Thanksgiving in a 10 minute period of time the TV reset once every 30 seconds When we call MetroNet they just say that everything is fine because it says so on their end I am sorry but everything is NOT fine or I wouldn t be calling daily Over Christmas we had to turn the TV s off because the resetting rebooting and freezing was a problem again and we watched the games again on our phone on a different service They finally sent a tech out last week who said our extenders were interfering with each other which was bogus per two other technicians He had us unplug one of them and said he would refresh everything and that would fix it He left and we tried to watch a movie and the problem started up immediately We called tech support again at that point They then fried us for leaving the second extender unplugged and told us to plug it back in I was like Why It doesn t work with it unplugged or plugged in Last night I spent two hours on the phone with a tech Jonathan who went through everything and then said if it keeps doing it call me back and we ll replace the EERO as that seems to be the problem He did see some issues with the EERO last night So I call back tonite to speak to him and he s out so I get Austin who read through the notes and then escalated my call and they REFUSED to come out and replace anything or try to fix the issue They are now saying they won t send a tech out because everything shows fine on their end and they don t know what the issue is so the tech wouldn t know what to fix Great customer service there Metronet The sales person ASSURED me that they take care of their customers Really We paid FULL price for the last few months and last night it took 4 hours to watch a 90 minute movie because it continued to restart reboot NOT OKAY Metronet

Other reviews are spot on Bait and switch company that will deny everything
I HAVE RECORDS TO PROVE ALL OF THIS Other reviews are spot on I m telling you I spent 1 year each with Spectrum ATT real fiber and Comcast Never had issues until Metronet Metronet has clear bait and switch tactics and all of their employees will lie from throttling to billing They claim fiber and guarantee speeds but then when you stream HD they will throttle the connection When you confront them about throttling they will deny it of course But here we go I am a former IT network guy and programmer I KNOW what throttling looks like I had enough of the throttling I confronted their on duty tech who denied the throttling like all of their employees then miraculously the problem went away until the next day LOL THROTTLING Their techs network monitors throttle without a doubt Then I went to customer service to complain and ask for compensation immediately I was met with attitude and a oh it happens to my house too argument What customer service person does this LOL Then of course I cancel They offer a refund Customer care confirms the account was closed and then CONFIRMS the refund was sent out Two weeks later nothing I need to check my accounts to make sure I have not been billed past cancellation I contacted them today about the refund Oh the bill was not cycled and it will be another month before you receive the check LOL Circus of lying liars When I confronted customer care about the lies they just cover and deny Oh they offer apologies but apologies are NOTHING with out promptly solving the problem and solving the problem PERMANENTLY BAIT AND SWITCH AND THEN PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY with Metronet You d think they are run by the US Government wait a minute

Where does one startHere I thought Spectrum was bad
Where does one start I ve been with metronet for 6 months Other than the first week or so I have not come even close to the speeds I m paying for At least with spectrum I was getting my speeds and more Had a tech come out to see why I wasn t getting the speeds I was paying for The best he had was check the metronet app It tells you you are getting your speeds FYI that means nothing considering it s a controllable program It can t be tested beyond the app Yet my PC less than 10 feet away barely achieved half of what I am paying for This is for wired and wireless His response was look you got 500 that is good however still half of my 1000 and this is a top of the line build PC with 2 4 GB interfaces with Wi-Fi 6 1000 Mb is easily achievable on my PC Also any extra benefits you were to receive for signing up and such forget about it The you will receive your extras in about 8 weeks that is them hoping you forget and it never comes back up so they can pocket your money I contacted customer service once and the clown I got was on vacation Vacation They don t even have customer reps working What they are saving money by not hiring many The one I got said she would get to my problem when she returned to work I did get a rep several days later in email only because I wrote a customer service review they didn t like and three weeks later still not solved Switching was a hassle and I lost shows I liked for increased bandwidth Well I lost there My opinion threating your provider with switching and watch them give you a lot to not switch Spectrum has and I m considering switching back

False Stated Speed
We were given the wrong impression that our internet speed is 1 Gbps We d used their recommended speed test and only came up 215 25 Mbps The Eero app however shows a little over 1 Gbps all the time in which the install tech proudly points out It is not true After further research you have to CONNECT DIRECTLY i e WIRED to get the 1 Gbps In other words you have to run bunch of cables for each devices to get the 1 Gbps speed Since theirs only one available connection in their router you have to invest on purchasing a switch Well as I am writing this review I d been connected to MetroNet router WIRED and I wasn t even close breaking 500Mbps out of stated speed Another lie Our connection over WiFi is worst even our devices are near it Lastly we need to have an older router to use in order for devices that don t accept WiFi6 These pertinent information should had been DISCLOSED to us Not an honest approach

DO NOT EVER GET BC OF THE DEALS just don t ever get metro net the wifi loses connection every single day and we have to constantly restart it it s stupid then they try to get you to stay by giving you deals but they re absolute dog water

I would have left one star review if possible They have absolutely no communication skills or ability to handle repairs We have experienced six line breaks in three months all from technicians doing repairs on neighboring homes Supervisors are useless

NEVER NEVER NEVER sign up to these people Some of the most dishonest people i have ever come across emailed over and over had multiple telephone calls with the company to terminate the contract which was eligible for termination Their customer service was so inefficient the contract was never terminated their error and i was charged for another 6 months and never got my money back They are useless and bullies STEER CLEAR OF ANY OF THE COMPANIES VARIATIONS METRONET VENUS M247 All the same under various names

STAY AWAY Shady Business Practices
Ok I gave this company 2 different chances at 2 different times I originally had this company when they first came out because of their phenomenal deal vs att I cancelled in 2 months The speeds were horrendous Fast forward a year they come knocking at my door telling me they have changed I gave them a second chance it last 5 months only to have the same issue again However this is where the story turns bad Very bad Report to BBB bad I cancelled and returned hardware on the 6th they told me they would be sending me a check for the month I paid for Nope didnt happen They even told me my account was cancelled in an email Today they billed me AGAIN after I have an email showing the account is closed I login to their website and it still shows my account is active STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
