Microsoft Surface laptop can t turn on its camera
Here s my true story in relation to my Microsoft Pro 4 purchase in 2017 1 May-18 First Surface Pro 4 returned and replaced Screen broken2 Aug-18 Second Surface Pro 4 returned and replaced Would not boot up3 Jul-19 Third Surface Pro 4 returned and replaced Would not boot up Requested an upgrade to a stable machine Escalation process denied request4 Feb-20 Fourth Surface Pro 4 returned and replaced Would not boot up Requested an upgrade to a stable machine Escalation process denied request This time a reason was given I have had the machine less than 6 months 5 Aug-21 Fifth Surface Pro 4 Now constantly failing after being forced to do a bitlocker update Microsoft now refusing to provide a solution issued raised on 17-Aug-21 sent to Escalation on 18-Aug-21 informed that this would take about a week No update provided by Microsoft as at 2-Sep-21 Summary FIVE Surface Pro 4 s in less than 4 years lots of down time sending receiving and rebuild time Request for an upgrade to a stable machine requested 3 times denied 3 times Now left with a completely useless machine as it s unstable again Have also spent money on buying a Microsoft Pen and Docking station for this machine which will now also be useless as I have no choice but to move to another manufacturer 2 000 would be much better spend with another hardware manufacturer who cares about their paying customers

Items - Surface Pro 8 business Intel Evo Core i7 - Wi-Fi 32 GB RAM 1 TB SSD - Surface Pro Signature Keyboard with Surface Slim Pen 2 Date Dec 2022Issue Keyboard failed in Feb 2023 could not be replaced but repaired Repaired kit by Microsoft Spain received but still not working Feedback Nice piece of kit but at 2K EUR in total not worth the investment for two months of use Support hopeless and unable to diagnose issue all along

Never again
The surface will fail and Microsoft will just charge you c 300 to repair it This has happened to me twice Both times within weeks of the warranty expiring Google surface pro couldn t find a bootable operating system and you will see This will happen to you if you are luck it will happen within the warranty but it will happen every 6-13 months

Its a fantastic device When I bought it due to its SSD it was the only tablet able to handle a full version of Photoshop It is as fast as the day I received it MS replaced it after a month - Black screen death After 3 years it developed another fault and they replaced again The customer service has been flawless
