Not a Job Board - Bureaucratic and Primitive

This is supposed to be a service to employers helping recruit ex-service staff by advertsing on the CTP Jobs Portal - four weeks of bureaucracy later I still don t have a job online Indeed could do this in 5 minutes First - the MOD site links to the wrong companyThey then link to the new contractor Reed Reed s site does not allow online sign upsBut is does ask for a lot of information on the registration formBut then they email you to ask for that information again Then the tell you that you have been manually added to their job portal But you can t log in and use it and have to wait for an intro zoom call from your local contact But he s on holiday till next week and says he will come back with dates when he is back But he does not so you have to chase Then you set up a date for a few days later On the call although you ask to be shown how to post a job on the portal he first insists on telling you a load of information about his organisation the Forces Employment Charity not Reed - which you don t need to know Then you ask to be shown the portal and - incredibly - he tells you he has to send a form which you complete and return to Reed with the job spec - they then email him a spreadsheet with your and other s info and he manually uploads this to the job board - which can take another week I could set up a job board in an hour on which employers could post jobs Incredibly the MOD is probably paying millions for this service which is like something from the pre-internet age I m just going back to Indeed This is such a waste of employer s time Don t bother with it
