Works great for off-roading GPS positioning

Fairly heavy and thick speaks to it s ruggedness with the built-in case Case seals are very important for my application as it is being used in an open cockpit side by side off-road vehicle in one of the dustiest and roughest deserts in the US While there are several GPS apps available I m running AlpineQuest which has a free version but can be purchased for 12 99 no subscription This requires that the tablet provide GPS positioning which it does flawlessly As you can see in the picture this allows you to lay down tracks that you can follow in the wilderness to keep from getting lost Being that the environment is open to the dust and glare of the sun the Munbyn s screen brightness along with high contrast colors for the track allow me to follow the track and stay on course While I plan on keeping the unit plugged in in my trial runs the battery life has kept the unit going for the riding day While the price is not too much more than a good quality tablet the features you get are well worth the extra cost
