Misleading Advert

I feel that this company if it exists at all is offering a misleading advert I was Google searching on Pension Wise and the second site that appeared was this which I mistakenly took to be an independent organisation offering connection with UK wide independent financial advisers I now realise it that it appears to simply be a front for Hilltop Finance I agree with the previous reviewer Ian Lawley that this feels deceitful and not what you expect from a financial adviser that you plan to use While I have no reason to doubt Hilltop Finance as a suitable financial adviser I do find this type of marketing rather distasteful and it has stopped me proceeding any further with them

Misleading

I was already hearing alarm bells when reading their website - I need more than happy faces and claims of expert advice to trust a company with my life savings Irrelevant you might say as reviews need facts not feelings So here goes Further down the page nationalpensionadvisors co uk claimed to have an Excellent 5 star rating from over 500 reviews on Trustpilot So I checked and as at 08 06 2023 Trustpilot showed only 2 reviews both with a 1 star rating The claimed score applies to Hilltop Finance who lie behind the website but not to nationalpensionadvisors co uk themselves as professed on the site So at the very least National Pension Advisors with domain name nationalpensionadvisors co uk are indeed misleading people with their claimed Trustpilot score which is shockingly bad practice Would you trust your life savings to a website undeniably making a false claim And while we are on the subject of misleading people their choice of name i e National Pension Advisors does sound very similar to actual existing government backed services eg like The Pensions Advisory Service when in reality one is instead dealing with Hilltop Finance Limited I have no doubt some people will be misled by this despite the single sentence on their website admitting they are not linked to any government backed service At any rate this behaviour falls below what one should expect from any respectable company

Google pensionwise recommended by Martin Lewis for being an independent pension advisory body and lo up pops this company at the top of the google search They re not independent they format their landing page as a simple questionnaire to mine your data and so desperate are they for your business you receive an almost immediate call They are not pensionwise they are not independent they are a parasite keywording your search for pensionwise and thus by using such nefarious tactics are not to be trusted That said I will take their call when they next ring and be certain to waste their time before declining their services and request under the GDPR regs they remove all of my info from their database

Unethical practices

This company is nefariously bidding on Google searches for PensionWise which is a government backed service that your pension company is compelled to send you to by FCA regulations at times Trusting your life savings to a company that s prepared to behave so unethically isn t something I d recommend This is not the PensionWise your pension provider or Martin Lewis was talking about

Did not like the look of the site at all especially with the promise of a 47 5 uplift in pension - set alarm bells ringing Fortunately when I was presented very quickly with a congratulations we ve matched you with a pension advisor after only two questions I got cold feet and didn t proceed but searched for reviews Glad I did
