Newcomers account
Really poor service should have looked at reviews before I signed up I am international and new to Canada on their newcomers account- echo what other people have said with poor customer service unsure if it s because I am not canadian or if it s to everyone On hold for hours only for them to be really rude they blocked my account because I transferred money to the account from abroad - I explained yes I am on a newcomers account so I will be NEW to canada of course I am transferring money into it that s the whole pont of the account Was met with really rude people Do not bank here if you are new to Canada

4 hours phone call for one statement
Called investment department for a statement for 10times in two weeks Costed me 4hrs I total They finally sent me one with password but the password they told me was wrong I had to call again to get the correct password What an inefficient working system An bunch of nonprofessional staff without proper manner wasting people s time and money

The long waiting time
Guys why do you have such a bad client service I never saw it before in other banks I called you 3 times today with the waiting time for each call about 1 hour and 2 times the call was hung up in middle of conversation and once the operator sent me to nowhere Does it difficult to recall

Too many hurdles to access our RESP
Terrible bank to deal with regarding our RESP They have requested three different letters from the U S university that our daughter attends to release OUR money We were told that they are only used to dealing with Canadian institutions Not great advertisement for a so called legitimate bank Stay away from this bank

Worst bank ever Confirmed loan amount rate of interest down payment one day over mail next day says sorry we made calculation mistake I wish the bank people were reading the reviews Would never recommend any one Daily they will ask for your bank statement until they reject your application over some stupid reason They should shut their business

Scary Bank
Locked out of my account for apparently sending e-transfers to a BTC exchange Been on the phone 6-times trying to resolve this issue with nothing but a run-around from people who can t speak comprehensible English 0 58 minutes and counting with this 7th call I just opened the account have only 1700 in their I need to retrieve then I can tell them to take a flying leap Take a tip don t open an account with this bank and if you have - get the F-out while you can

Terrible experience with NBC We need to initiate an international wire transfer remotely for months finally over dozen communications they send us the necessary paperwork Once signed they disappeared after several other emails the branch manager finally get back to us saying that they can t do Why signing papers then The online services are very far from what other banks can offer Fees are very high and services very low They are not living in 2024 but are stuck in 2010 They did not even answer our last email saying that we ll close our accounts after more than 25 years being clients they really don t care NBC CEO says At NationalBank we build long-term relationships with our clients employees and communities people first people first seriously

Trying to pay back a car loan through these guys when you are not a card-carrying client is impossible They are a scam I called the number on my loan form and found out I cannot be helped without a bank account number Who is approving their loans
