Trustworthy transparent site to order Japanese books

The JLPT N3 study books I was looking for were super difficult to find on almost any trustworthy site I found them on Nipponrama and did a bit of research before purchasing Luckily the order process communication and delivery all went super smoothly I would definitely order from them again

Everything OK but the delivery exceeded 14 days

I ordered some books to Poland on 2022-12-08 I was hoping that they would arrive before Christmas because the delivery time was listed as 7-14 days Well they finally arrived after 20 days It s not the store s fault of course but when ordering to Europe take this into account

Easy to navigate great prices and amazing availability of products for those who want to learn Japanese The package was very well packed the books arrived with no damage I really liked it and recommend it to everyone Will be coming back to get new books soon

Nipponrama is a legitimate online shop

I was very hesitant to order from Nipponrama because their social media links Twitter Instagram etc aren t really updated and mention very little nothing about their online shop It just seemed like it was connected to some guy posting about his time in Japan However after reading some of the recent reviews on Trustpilot I thought I d take the plunge fully accepting it might be a scam It s very hard to source Japanese Language Proficiency Test textbooks from physical shops in Australia so online seemed the only way to go On 6 April 2023 I purchased the Nihongo Sou Matome JLPT N2 Complete Set with Express Post I received a confirmation email saying that my order was received On 10 April I received a second email saying my order was now complete It said Thanks for shopping with us so I assume this meant that it had was about to be dispatched Today 14 April the order arrived at my home This was actually really fast compared to some online retailers I have dealt with from various countries I was kind of expecting it would arrive late next week even with the Express Post option I have rated my experience 5 stars but it s probably more 4 5 stars I think the service could be improved if Nipponrama did the following things 1 Users can register a Nipponrama account and track their orders view order invoices etc 2 Users receive better communication e g Your order has been shipped The estimated delivery date is XX 3 Nipponrama update their social media and include more references to their online shop They might advertise their Japanese textbooks this way which would drive much more traffic to their site The third improvement point might be the most important because although the web shop is really slick and has plenty of photos etc the lack of presence on their social media obviously makes potential buyers suspect it might be a scam That s really unfortunate Anyway I ve opened the package and all 7 textbooks are in excellent condition I cannot fault Nipponrama at all on this I hope this review encourages others to consider using their shop because I was certainly hesitant to begin with I have no affiliation with Nipponrama nor am I receiving any incentive to post this review -- it just seems like the right thing to do Thank you Nipponrama team
