The cost of one week s travel insurance was 140 despite us having only minor ailments Being over 70 we accepted the cost However due to fires in Rhodes our holiday was cancelled and we had to change the destination to Fuerteventura a similar distance away We were charged an extra 60 to change and a further 23 because our flight home would not return until after midnight taking the total to 223 for one week Our daughter and her family paid only 22 and had no additional charges despite the exact same changes Don t use this company

Stay away

We booked an insurance with this company to go to morroco in September 2023 but due to the earthquake we had to cancel our trip to morroco change our destination to Cyprus tried to change our insurance but this company wanted an extra 151 I said whys that then they said that cyprus was not in Europe even though cyprus is in the EU also I said I wanted a refund they was not having any of it I eventually got the same insurance with another company for 58 my advice stay away from instant insurance

Murderers

My husband was taken into hospital whilst on holiday The doctors said he needed to be air ambulance back to the UK as he had low oxygen levels Contacted the Insurance Company who arranged for my husband to be air ambulance back to the UK Then they wanted to look at his medical records which took a week to arrange Then they said he hadn t mentioned an appointment in November which was just a check up no treatment They then went away to find something else to get out of paying and came up with diverticulitis which my husband had seven years ago and nothing at all to do with his oxygen levels By the time I managed to contact an air ambulance company and pay myself it was too late and he passed away on the 29 9 2023

Director emails to condescend

Will not stop emailing me Director Chris Payne personally emailed me to say Nope when asked if he thinks bombarding people with emails is a bad idea LUCKILY for this 52 year old he did it hiding behind his computer screen of course Mickey Mouse organisation when a director has nothing better to do than flippantly reply to a random customer in the manner of a 17 year old arguing on social media

Cover for Turkey paid extra not with these

Went to Turkey with cover ended up in hospital informed no limits while there Filled claim on return passed to a global claims handler who refused the claim private hospital Complained and was passed to several other insurance companies 3 months later I gave them the ultimatum settle or the ombudsman would be contacted Paid full settlement the day before without explanation through yet another insurance company

Check your itinerary for cruise insurance

I took out a travel insurance policy in March for cruise cover costing 160 00 On checking my itinerary recently I discovered that I d forgotten to include a stopover in Turkey for one day I telephoned their office to explain and was told it would cost an additional 420 00 as Turkey was classed as Europe 4 I said no way and we just wouldn t leave the ship for that one day she said that as the ship was docking there we still had to pay the extra premium I then asked for a refund but was told I was outwith the 14 day cooling off period The only thing she could do was freeze the policy but we would need to travel and return sometime before 11 March 2025 and we would have to pay additional admin charges as well as any additional price increase I have gone online and found many other policies which cost almost the same as the original price I paid and these included Turkey I feel that I have been totally ripped off by this company

Absolute joke of a company Purchased insurance for my Aunt and Uncle have tried so many times to log in to get the paperwork keeps saying details do not match requested about 20 times to reset password and no link sent Contacted customer services several times still no link and still unable to see my documentsDO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Patronising and condescending

Do not use this company for travel insurance I had a stroke in 2023 I got medical proof the airlines refunded my flight costs but no limits wouldn t pay me for loss of villa costs transfer costs and golf costs The girl on the claims contact was very rude condescending and patronising I m a 72 year old pensioner and we are talking 400 a lot of money in my position but not so for a multi million pound insurance company Do not insure with this company
