My car went in for a timing belt change

My car went in for a timing belt change but sadly needed a new engine the guys at northwest engines reassured me that it will be sorted after that and I honestly can t fault them great customer service and a overall great company will highly recommend then and will be return in the future

Excellent faultless service frombeginning to end That should say it all but words don t discribe the service i recieved i m a grumpy old get who don t believe in doing reviews i pay for a service i expect perfection otherwise i wouldn t pay for it Northwest engines exceeded my expectations even if i had paid more Right from the first phone call enquiring every question was answered in detail stuff was explained i hadn t thought of i wasn t rushed or made to feel uncomfortable if i didn t understand summat and they had to explain again northwest engines helped arrange collection of my fiesta ecoboost with a knackered engine All work was carried out within time frame given i m inpatient n emailed couple of times to check progress Got prompt answer to my questionsWhen i collected my car with recon engine fitted How i should drive properly to wear in the new engine was explained in detail the wearing in bit did concern me but when i left was confident i knew what i was supposed to do and was also given written instructions as well At one point while wearing in i thought i heard summat strange so i took it back to northwest engines who checked it over straight away there n then explaining alsorts of stuff i can t remember now I have AA parts n garage cover Northwest engines completed all the paperwork and communications with the AA I didn t have to lift a finger Unfortunately I have a naff black box type insurance they kept sending me emails saying we arnt recieving data Northwest engines sent several emails answering all my insurance companies petty questions and believe me there was quite a few I completed the 1000 mile running period and returned for the required service My new engines running sweet as a nut better than i hoped for I can t thank everyone at northwest engines office staff mechanics enough your customer service exceeded my expectations above n beyond THANKYOUSif i read this review i d think it s a mate or relative cynical old git me but nah am a regular customer who felt gutted having a broken heap of crap am now buzzing about in my car happy as larry sing me head off to smooth radioThis puts it in a nut shell for me For the first time i can remember I m not worried about breaking down because I know a reliable honest garage that will sort it Northwest Engines

1 0 Ecoboost Focus wet belt replacement

I booked my 1 0 Ecoboost Focus in with Northwest Engines for the cambelt and water pump after I d read many great comments about on some Facebook groups Due to their expertise in this area there is a bit of a waiting time but this is reflected in their great service and price The time it takes to do this job is longer than a regular belt due to its design so it s certainly not a few hours work I was kept informed of the time scales throughout Due to my car having high milage it was noticed that the clutch would benefit from being replaced There was no pressure to do this at any point I was given a cost of the 4 replacement parts and the labour was lower than I expecte as the engine had been removed as the mechanic finds it easier to change the belts It was a no brainer given I had a suspected it might need doing at 157k They managed to get the parts and fit them staying an hour later to finish the job so I didn t have to do another overnight stay The old parts were available to see so they are open and honest in their approach I ll certainly use them again for any Ecoboost engine work or a replacement engine should the need arise Highly recommended and worth travelling to if you are not close by as it will still cost less than a trip to a dealer who might not have done many belt changes due to their costs

Ford focus 1 0 16 plate with 80 000 miles I went for a full wet belt water pump oil and filter scoop clean and service option following recommendations on FB and other social media Communications were good from the start but had to wait over a month as they are so busy Got there on time and met the team Good chat and banter and left them to it Got call next day a lot earlier than expected saying all was done and could collect my car On arrival got to talk to the mechanic that did the job and he explained the process and showed me all that had been done All old bits had been kept for me to see Paperwork all done and car goes like a clock Full marks to all great service If I had to make one comment it would be that it would have been nice to have the car registration number on the bill invoice to show it related to my car which is important for the vehicle paperwork file - just a minor crib
