A masterclass in poor customer care
I purchased a 31000 mile Transit Custom to be used for my work from Nick Whatley on a Friday evening after a 12 hour train journey smooth transaction - no worries On the long way home the van kept throwing up a warning light and losing power which I informed Nick about the next morning To his credit he replied to me over the weekend saying get it diagnosed and get a quote to repair but I won t pay over the top prices OK I thought not the appologetic reassuring respone I was expecting but atleast he got back to me On the Monday I booked it into my local garage who couldn t look until the following week They did a thorough diagnosis which cost me over 100 and determined that 4 injectors had a fault A very common problem in these vans I ve since found out Nick didn t believe this and didn t like the quote so wanted me to get another diagnosis pretty inconsiderate given I bought this van for my work and haven t been able to use it for 2 weeks I was furious and we fell out he really couldn t care less about the inconvenience or cost I had to bear I reluctantly agreed to get another diagnosis this time I put the van into TrustFord as I felt he couldn t argue with the Ford dealers findings they initially found no fault then one injector and finally all 4 causing some confusion I stupidly told him 3 needed done and offered to pay for the fourth before having established the full diagnosis only to try and bring this to a close as quickly as possible this is now a month later with no van Ultimately this played into Nicks hands he s now accusing me of lying and colluding with Ford against him and has forced me to settle the 1500 bill out of my own pocket and pursue him through the small claims court After all this during the first week of using the van we had some freezing temperatures and the front lip Nick had put on started to come away having only been attached with silicone I told him about it and his response was to call me a complaining little girl before blocking me So be warned I m sure faults like this are extremely rare but they do happen and Nick has proved himself somewhat difficult to deal with in these circumstances He has also threatened me when I told him I would write this review saying he would sue me for slander and I would become an enemy of his - whatever that means for me So I ve been careful to give an honest account Edit Thankyou Nick for your reply showing your complete disregard of the most up to date diagnosis from Ford themselves and yet more attacks on my character I forgot to mention you had offered me a full refund however to obtain this I would have to return the van a 1040 mile round trip half of which in a dodgy van at my own expense as you would not pay to transport it So no I ll not be doing that thanks The man trades a small volume of vehicles for 2 years and has no problems Then there s a problem so it must be the customer who is just a bad guy because he has had no problems before

The most unprofessional garage ever
The most unprofessional garage ever First he said take the van and bring it back so we can finish the last bits Turbo went along with other things Sorted this but had to pay as it was out of warranty 3 months but was in the garage most that time with him Then it was our fault as we had driven it so many miles then less than a week later it goes again you honestly couldn t write it I then get fines through the door for a van that isn t mine check the log book and Nick had put my van in someone else s name and someone else s van in my name Text him he said he will sort it 5months later and another letter to say it s been passed to the dept collectors Phone la Nick and surprise surprise he is too busy to talk but can text Then says I ll send an email To which I replied you said that last time 5months ago and he reads it and doesn t reply Save yourself the hassle and buy a van from a more reliable garage as this one is shocking I would never leave a bad review but as there is no communicating with Nick then I feel I should warn others I am currently paying over 450 a month for a van that has been underivable for most of the time that I have had itMW MOTOR TRADE LIMITEDABERBEEGAlso threatened me through WhatsApp he will prob reply with you failed to mention and come up with some rubbish as that s all I have read on his other bad reviews I tried to sort this tidy but what can you do with a dodgy salesman that has no customer skills If you are going to say you would purchase the van back like you say to everyone Then please know this will be accepted if offered so don t try fobbing anyone off with silly replies

Wouldn t stand over warranty issues
Not sure where to start on this Firstly I have never experienced a service like this ever from any business I purchased a VW transporter from NI motor trade 2 months back I was travelling from Ireland and trading in my Ford transit custom which was in mint condition As I m a very honest person I realised my transit custom required brake pads and discs in the near future so I went and got all those replaced 2 days before travelling to wales and had my van fully checked by my mechanic so that everything was ok for NW motor trade So after booking the ferry the owner Nick I think his name was was trying hold off the sale for some reason and changing dates etc alarm bells where starting to ring but I already had a deposit paid and the ferry booked so I had to go ahead After picking up the transporter from NI motor trade all seemed fine and well however 1 hour into my return journey home lights started coming on the dash as blue service van was supposed to be serviced abs light traction light and low water light I was told be a few mechanics the van was in pretty bad shape mechanically it required a service and the oil and filters weren t changed in quite some time The auto gearbox is jamming in and out of gears I had been told a gearbox service would resolve the matter which it didn t I m now been told it s a costly fix and some sort of module issue that the garage would have been well aware of but still sold me the van I spent 700 of my own money to date and the van is still the same more less I have now just found out the head gasket is gone on the van which was the low water issue NW motor trade is refusing to cover any of the issues or costs as they are saying the van I traded in was in bad condition which it 100 wasn t Even if it was why would the garage take the van as a trade in if it was in such bad condition My solicitor has told me the garage is 100 liable and cannot use the trade in van as an excuse as a contract of sale they have taken the van as a trade in and it s up to NI motor trade to stand over the van with their so called 3 month warranty I also had to torture the garage for weeks on end for the receipt of sale which should have came with the van When I asked for that at the garage they said it would be emailed which it wasn t The mechanic also said the bodykit and spray job on the van was very poor There drill holes was holes all over the dash where electrical appliances where ripped out along with bare wires causing fuses to blow where someone ripped out the reversing camera I have also had to change the tyres that was fitted to the van as they where so dangerous in the wet and the tyre depot said they are the worst tyres ever to put on a vehicle and very dangerous There was other things like the van I purchased been removed for sale and re-listed at a higher price as they knew I was interested They tried to say it was a different van when the images where identical to the images I had saved from the first listing and the van even had the exact same miles There is a lot going on with this business that is pretty scary and shouldn t be allowed I will be contact trading standards and sending an email to rip off Britain to see if they want to investigate this garage In my opinion they are crooking genuine paying customers out of pocket and buyers should be aware Very aware I don t like leaving reviews like this but when the seller is refusing to stand over the vehicle I think other buyers should be aware

Do not buy from NW Motor trade
I bought the van from NW motor trade in Early September The company are a joke the boss Nick is a vulgar man with a poor attitude In recent communications I was told to get Fxxxed and Fxxk off I had the van delivered at a cost of 450 which I was happy to pay I ve asked every week for a receipt for the delivery only to be told the delivery company are doing a receipt I m still waiting Nick The van needed AdBlue which cost me a further 20 The mirrors on the drivers side did not work neither did the speaker The mirrors would fold in without warning making it dangerous to drive Whilst Nick agreed to cover the cost of the repairs it took me several weeks of me badgering him to pay up I got excuses about being out of the country being unwell family issues It took me to call Nick repeatedly to get him to pay up I was even told he would pay that same day if I needed the money so badly I ve had further issues with the lights falling out of the ceiling stitching on the back of the chairs coming away Theses issues I did not raise with Nick owing to his attitude I have also not received my V5 as Nick refused to answer me when I ve asked if he sent off the appropriate section I finally got an answer about this today after again trying to call Nick numerous times Now I am expecting Nick to make many comments on this review as he has done with all of the other reviews I warn anyone who is potentially going to buy from here to check their van over thoroughly before taking it away and do not hand over any cash until you are satisfied

I would be more than happy to do business again with NW Motors
I found Nick at NW Motors to be Very professional and helpful he was waiting when we arrived this was out of hours on a Sunday the vehicle was as described and as he said I wasn t disappointed I had already paid for the vehicle as we had driven quite a distance to see it this meant I could drive it away that day I had also received 2 emails and 1 message to say if I wasn t completely happy with it when I saw it then the money would be completely refunded immediately he couldn t have been more helpful even down to telling me what he thought was the best way to trade my old vehicle and what I should realistically expect for it All before I had spent a penny with him
