Octaply Ai is very helpful when searching for a job I found a job in less than 2 weeks I would recommend Octaply to anyone looking to quickly find a job

First of all I was unsure on how the process worked Once I realized how simple and easy it was I was excited to see the results I literally went to bed and my emails was filled with applications and opportunities This program is top tier and it definitely useful I can t wait to see my final results of hiring

Needs work

Software did apply to jobs The software did not apply to tech sales jobs It just applied to random jobs across the board Upon submitting a complaint started to apply to BDR roles but still no tech sales roles therefore I rank this software rather low Wasn t able to upload an existing resume to build off of Had to build a new resume from scratch therefore took another 10 hours to submit Has issues but if corrected will be a good product because again the software was actually applying for jobs If I google Octaply and I type it wrong because let s face it if you tell me the name and I type it 95 of users will spell it wrong can t find this on Google Have to spell the name with 100 accuracy for it to come up on google If I type Octappli Optapply Octapply etc it should come up

I heard about this on the Tech Is The New Black podcast eariler this year and thought it was a promising idea to leverage AI to do job applying for you Founder seemed genuine and passionate about his product and the founder even offered a free trial I believe so I logged on to their site during the podcast to see about trying it I emailed them to ask because the site wasn t clear on how to claim it They said the free trial was no longer available You had to pay 97 month to even see how it works So I forgot about it and moved on Then in December they sent an email offering a 14-day trial for the holidays which got me hyped because I had wanted to see if it could be useful Luckily I did not spend any to realize that their product is not up to par yet I indicated that I was seeking a Marketing Manager role and filled out my profile accordingly Then I noticed that it began applying for any Manager roles Area Sales Manager OTO Program Manager Event Manager Business Development Manager etc Not what I want at all and it s not even in my resume I would suggest a more free input style field here to allow for more specific searches and a negative search so users can filter out roles that are not wanted during the learning process Also you have to input all your resume data one by one - no way to upload your own resume The software only applies to jobs posted on Indeed so it does not appear to scan and apply to other job boards Lastly Cover Letter feature specifically the use of variables was very confusing so I did not use it at all I wanted my cover letter to be customized per application especially since Octaply is all about AI but it was not clear if the Cover Letter would do that So I saved myself the headache in the confusing explanation on the app and went without Since this software is based on Indeed s API from what I ve gathered the software creates an Indeed Account for you based on your email It doesn t account for any follow-up that is required in the job application I wish that would ve been clearer For example I have received many emails that ask me to complete my application by taking an Indeed Skills test that the job requires or other similar job requirements before the application could be complete Clearly the software doesn t account for this so if I don t do it then these job applications aren t done Ideally it should connect to an existing Indeed account or allow us to do so so that any previous Skills tests are already completed If I m promised 10 auto-applications per day and 4-5 of those require a second application step how does this save me time TO BE CLEAR I am not trying to bad-mouth them I think there is a lot of promise here and the founder was very passionate about this product but it s clear that it still needs a lot of work to justify 97 month I would also suggest they keep their 14-day free trial offer going to benefit the user and get feedback faster hopefully they do I hope they work on some of these basic features that other negative reviews are saying as well 97 month for this to apply to 10 or so ok weak job matches per day is not worth it IMO Right now you re better off spending 10 mins a day doing Easy Apply on LinkedIn where you can select your job needs better Also disappointed to read here that their team seems to put the onus back on the user as I read negative reviews instead of acknowledging the product s shortcoming Would love to see them reply to this in a positive manner instead of trying to fault me for not typing in the right prompt or some other user failure If the team can iterate on these suggestions mine and others and improve it this would blow every other AI-focused solution away IMO Will wait to see if things change

Huge waste of time filling up the information Have to give my credit card details which I was not able to delete It never applied to any jobs and customer service never wrote back Feels like they are just waiting for people to forget and charge them the 97 for the first month

So far so good

I have used this for about a week now I put in my general resume that has ALL my optimized bullet points that I was using to tailor every one of my resumes This just streamlined my applying process I do wish it sourced more than Indeed but still hopeful I will get at least an interview out of it
