Faultless service
Faultless service Thanks so much Mina and Oliver If anyone in Kentish Town is looking to rent their property then in my experience look no further A local independent team that live and work on their patch with a great feel for the area I decided to instruct Olivers after meeting with a few other local agents After all they quoted the highest rental income and said they d have the place rented in 3 days I m afraid the cynic in me prepared for a very different less hopeful conversation to come in 3 days On the contrary they did exactly what they said they would I have a lovely tenant who has invited me round to see what he s done with the place Couldn t be happier Again many thanks Olivers and happy birthday

Absolutely appalling service
Absolutely appalling service The estate agent Rodney showed me round the WRONG property He was patronising and rude in the extreme and completely wasted my time Moreover he had faffed us around before this viewing as he did not arrange it appropriately with the tenants and had to cancel with us at the last minute He frequently lectured and bullied me in conversation and was highly inappropriate and belligerent in his behaviour DO NOT use this agent - if they are comfortable employing frankly idiotic inept dinosaurs you can guarantee that they will not be employing people who can act appropriately to help tenants and landlords Will be advising others not to use this company

The photos on the ad were of a different house We went for a viewing and found ourselves in a different house to the one shown in the ad The house was in absolutely terrible conditions The staff claimed they had not even seen the property prior to scheduling our viewing

After 3 years with Oliver s Town
After 3 years with Oliver s Town I have gathered so many bad experiences that it almost seems unrealistic for one company to mess up on so many levels From leaving us the tenants without a shower for over a month and without a washing machine for even longer when they broke down to changing the locks of our house while we were away on holiday and basically illegally locking us out of the property that we were renting Oliver s Town has never cessed to overpass our expectations in terms of their lack of professionalism From my experience and as a rule of thumb I highly suggest researching your lettings company before signing any contract with them My neighbours actually told me that when they were looking for a company to rent with they purposefully avoided Oliver s Town due to its very bad reputation If you think about it this makes a lot of sense when you find out that Oliver s Town s director keyed a recruitment agent s car after losing a legal battle for refusing to pay him for his services To me this says everything about their company but if you still decide to choose them know that you ll be doing it at your own peril They say that every cloud has a silver lining and it is true that fortunately our experience with Oliver s Town hasn t been completely horrendous While the company itself is a big fat dark cloud that is bound to start storming all over your tenancy at any point there has been one silver lining Mihaela I actually wish that I could give her a review separately as she deserves all 5 stars and I have nothing but good things to say about her This amazing property agent whom we unfortunately only met in our last year of tenancy has been nothing but professional After a long line of ever changing property managers we were blessed to be put in contact with Mihaela Extremely professional always helpful and very friendly she has made our time with Oliver s Town significantly better I only wish that we could have been put in contact with her from the start as I am sure that if that had been the case I probably wouldn t have anything bad to say at this point So please dear management team hang on to her like dear life

appalling with tenants they highjacked our deposit
We were tenants for one year and had Olivers Town as our property managers They were absolutely appalling They never answered emails or returned any phone calls regarding needed repairs and completely ignored anything that we submitted through their repair portal Fixflo Any time anything was needed from them it was an absolute nightmare to even get them to pick up the phone or answer an email When we gave notice they never acknowledged it and left us hanging for three weeks until we finally were able to locate the landlord s contact information and contacted them directly We have now moved out over a month ago and they still have not returned our deposit despite many calls and emails and their own admission that there was nothing to deduct from it I suspect that we won t get anything back until we file a dispute with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme Truly shameful avoid at all costs

Unable to put NO STARS - Appalling and disrespectful to Students
I have just received a phone call from my daughter a 4th-year medical student and tenant of Oliver s Town in Kentish Town She was shaking almost in tears and needed to speak to someone As a student she felt intimidated vulnerable and bullied by the agent Stephen He was belligerent and threatening for no reason He rang the doorbell and waited no more than 2 minutes before entering her home with his keys Among other things he laughed in her face as she tried to accommodate him showing Surveyors and potential buyers around I tried to speak to him via her phone to let him know that making a student feel intimidated in her home is serious and unacceptable he failed to address my issues and proceeded to record my conversation Her whole experience at their hands has been one of distress and apprehension she went 6 weeks with no HOT water without urgency for resolution from them I wish I had more time to get information from her of all the disturbing incidents she and her flatmates have experienced in less than a year however she is in the middle of studies and already put out by the emails and unnecessary disruptions she has to deal with due to their disrespect and rudeness towards students

This is by far the worst letting agent
This is by far the worst letting agent I have ever had When looking for a property to rent they were very helpful and proactive Once you signed a contract it was like you didn t exist Would ignore important maintenance requests for months and you would have to call every day for two weeks to get any kind of response Trying to email them Don t bother they won t reply We were left without a working fridge for THREE MONTHS due to their negligence That is entirely unacceptable On top of this when an old piece of furniture broke they demanded that we replaced it even though we had only been there a month and the furniture was old and cheap When we asked for references for our new landlord they refused to provide them until we called several times to ask why not - turns out they just didn t know what they were doing Finally they tried to take 400 from our deposit in order to paint two walls fix light fittings that we asked them repeatedly to fix during our tenancy and fix furniture that was broken the whole time We had to go through the deposit protection scheme to get our money back as they took nearly three months to return our money and were unable to provide proof for deductions from the deposit When I say avoid at all costs I mean it

WARNING TO ALL
WARNING TO ALL DO NOT RENT WITH OLIVERS TOWN We had the unfortunate experience of renting with OT Below are just some of what we had to deal with 1 Left without a fridge for 6 weeks Even after using their own property management forms they were slow and frankly uncaring in replacing the fridge 2 Left without hot water for 8 weeks 8 weeks In the middle of winter without hot water They we dealt primarily with David were again slow and dismissive of the issues and constantly tried to shift blame for the issue We ended up organising the repairs ourselves after many many stressful calls emails 3 Rented a property without the legal HMO license for over 18 months 4 Used intimidation and aggression to try and bury the issues we brought forward in efforts to cover their tracks Stephen and Rodney in particular were condescending threatening and dismissive toward us and our valid concerns Stephen would not wear a face mask or even take off his shoes even with the knowledge that we were all medical students He also decided that filming us in our own home was the most professional route to take when asked to honour very simple requests Deciding to rent with them is ultimately your choice but beware students especially as your experience may be as bad - if not worse- than ours was

Dissapointed and let down
As a long-term resident and tenant within Primrose Hill I find myself in a distressing situation that highlights the negligent of this agency Olivers Town Estate Agents Kentish Town and the exploitative nature of some landlords and the dire consequences it has on the lives of tenants For the past eight years I have resided in a 2-bedroom basement flat within Primrose Hill Very expensive Unfortunately over the past year I have experienced a persistent leak within my living room wall What started as a minor inconvenience has escalated into a severe and hazardous situation The wall is now covered in black and orange damp with mushrooms thriving in the corners I ve been living like this for over a year and with water going through live electrical sockets Despite numerous complaints the communication from both the management and the landlord has been abysmal with each party blaming the other for the lack of action taken The wall was painted over the leak once because they wanted me to renew my lease with an increase of course and last month they came to clean it because it has been reported to the council and they were doing an inspection Needless to say that the wall is back how it was This lack of responsibility and accountability has left my family in a state of constant discomfort and concern for our health plus my allergy to mold that they keep ignoring Despite my repeated attempts to seek assistance and resolution I have been met with complete disregard and have been pushed aside by both the landlord and the management team its too obvious they want me out to rent it at a higher price It is disheartening to realize that my concerns for the health and safety of my family as well as the damage to my personal property caused by the damp have been met with silence and indifference What makes this situation even more unbearable is the audacity to demand a 600 increase in rent pcm despite the deplorable state of the property I have in writing that work will be carried out if I decide to extend the contract By the sound of it if I do not they will leave me and my family as is until we move out Such a steep increase is unjustifiable and demonstrates a greedy mentality that takes advantage of the current rental market where demand often exceeds supply The management at Olivers town have shown no support as their client is the Landlord not the tenant Thank you for reading this as i think you should know what you are getting into EFI
