This is not really about charity

You get invited to an event under pretense that it is for a good cause Then you taste some expensive and very mediocre wine from California Then because it is a friend that invited you and you want to support their event you place an order and find out only 10 of this overpriced wine actually goes to the cause One Wine lures with a discount if you order 4 6 or 12 bottles When you check out you go through 3 screens in which the total changes every time You pay sales tax on the full amount not on the discounted amount No receipt for tax purposes so it appears that One Wine will take the tax credit for the donation and the discounts they give Very dodgy scheme The only winner here is One Wine as they make top dollar on their wine Take the money you would spend send half directly to the charity and spend the other half buying yourself some much better wine elsewhere
