Our owlet was hacked and someone was waking and taking your baby at night On further research found this has been an ongoing issue once 2018 and owlet keep denying it and telling people to change passwords Ours was 16 digits and should have been unshakable There is a back door security issue with the app They have even said it s not a security device and it doesn t need to be secure items around and giving access should be the safest int he world DON t buy

Customer care is a shambles
My owlet sock 3 worked PERFECTLY until I changed my home WiFi which you d think since it worked fine with my old provider is should work fine with my new one NOTTTT I contacted owlet care for assistance on fixing the device as surely there s something IM doing wrong considering it worked perfectly fine a few weeks ago So after a week or so of back and forth sending screenshot after screenshot to one of their customer service team they come back with sorry your device is now defective but you re 4 months out of the 2 year warranty so nothing can be done you ll just need to buy a replacement WHYYYY wouldn t they check that first instead of wasting my time making me send screenshots and speed tests for them to just fob me off in the end anyway It s such a shame but I LOVED my owlet and the peace of mind it gave me and I used to recommend it all the time I certainly won t bother anymore

Can only have one camera on your phone
Can only have one camera on your phone on one baby at a time Told this is because its in a beta stage trial so not working yet Pointless having 2 cameras for 2 babies as you have to switch from one camera to the other to check on your babies Customer support unfriendly and not helpful or accommodating Very disappointing given how expensive it is

DO NOT BUY Received on Friday spent 6 hours trying to set it up which ultimate doesn t work you need the camera on a 5ghz channel and the sock on a 2 4ghz and different apps Trying to return it as it s not useable and I m getting you opened the box so you can t return it The product is terrible

Don t waste your money
Don t waste your money I ve had it for 1month and done everything customer and tech have told me to do Final straw was I rang up an independent IT wizard to come to my house I ve the fastest internet available the base station was sitting on the main hub also next to baby so very strong signal They changed the channel so it s not interfering with any other devices and the camera and sock still have issues connecting to app The IT wizard said the product is a good idea however the hardware is terrible and the product just isn t quite there yet

Disappointing product
We have had our Owlet for just over 2 years having paid just over 300 at the time The sock is now failing to connect to the base unit and all Owlet have to say is that it s now out of warranty and as they don t do the Sock3 anymore they suggest buying the latest model which is another 300 Customer service for aftercare is rubbish so do your homework with other products that are on the market as I wouldn t buy another Owlet

If I could give this zero stars I
If I could give this zero stars I would 7 weeks of use having had a replacement sock and base at the 3 week mark Almost daily wifi connectivity issues no issues with any other devices in the house data is not accurate and customer service is poor Our first interaction with customer service all they did was send the troubleshooting guide we already had and were doing on an almost daily basis and then we were told it was known issue and an updated to the server had resolved it Spoiler alert it hadn t We then contacted amazon who replaced the item That was great for a few days and then back to the same issues Only it continued to get worse to the point we are having to troubleshoot more than 4 times on occasion to get the connection back Having emailed customer service to get 8 responses to the single email I sent saying we are experiencing high volume of contact it s going to be a while for our response please use our online chat I finally did that again Once I was able to get past the AI telling me to do the things we are already doing the agent did not resolve any issue just said to follow the troubleshooting guide I left a review on the play store which prompted an email saying it is being looked into- still nothing from anyone at customer service and also comments on social media still no response from them to resolve the most basic of functions of this device What a waste of 300

Been trying to contact owlet for 4 days
Been trying to contact owlet for 4 days to be ignored My base station disconnected to the Wi-Fi in the middle of the night and will not reconnect I had just bought my baby home from another stay in hospital and desperately needed it They ve ignored my emails cut me off on live chat saying they can t help and it s coming up to the year warranty I wonder if that s why they ignoring me so it goes past the date Do not buy this product it s unreliable and customer service is non existent and no number to call
