Refusal to delete account and remove personal data
pCloudy refuse to delete my trial account Their rep says they do not delete accounts What an awful experience with a company clearly operating in shady ways During my trial it quickly became clear to me that pCloudy did not have support for the devices or the browsers I needed access to I spoke with Rakesh I asked him to remove my account as pCloudy do not provide an option for this At first he told me it was not possible for an account to be deleted Then he told me he would need to speak to someone else about deleting the account Then he told me the account had been deleted despite the fact it was listed as being temporarily suspended Then he told me he would get back to me about permanently deleting it but has not Never in a million years would I allow my company to use this disgrace of a company

Do not subscribe if you care about your PII data
Signed up for a trial They did not have the devices I needed so decided not to use the service I asked that my account data be deleted It s the wise thing to do these days with data breaches being almost commonplace First red flag was that their privacy policy notes that users can delete their own accounts from account settings then contradicts itself and says I need to send an email And indeed users can t delete their own details They can t even cancel their account so I don t know why they would even have this information there So I contacted their support via chat and asked that my PII data be deleted I have now been told multiple times over 3 days my data has been deleted Yet I refresh the pcloudy account screen I see the message Fetching details and up come my details Very un-deleted They wanted a meeting even though I have sent them video of this happening Meet why You can clearly see the fetch happening on screen and you can watch the calls happening in dev tools Yet they keep claiming my data has been deleted Even funnier - they communicate this information over chat Which is inside their app That I am logged into Because my data still exists Facepalm Despite being sideways busy I have given them a professional courtesy by sticking with the comms for 3 days now pointing out their privacy policy issues the fact that they don t gel with reality As for their claim of GDPR compliance vs the experience I d be re-reading the breaches section There are massive fines for claiming compliance and breaching it and they are breaching at least 2 articles - possibly more I hate posting negative reviews But having been notified so many times that their backend team insists my data is gone THIS time and me sending them video clearly showing the data being fetched I can only think they are being deliberately misleading So if you care about your PII information - and they do insist on your mobile number as well as email - here s the heads up I didn t have Don t subscribe

pCoudy is the best mobile app testing software
