Waste time and money better call local handy mans

Still trying to get my money back from this company They turned up completely unprepared for the job left after 5 minutes as he didn t have the tools and was told the wrong information from the office and have the audacity to claim that their engineer attended which warrants 220 To this date I haven t had a quote to actually complete the job and this was in January When I called to follow up they just started screaming and swearing down the phone Appalling company please please avoid doing business with them This isn t an isolated incident just read the Google and other TP reviews

Cowboy company Avoid

This company charges 174 inc VAT for the first hour and then 150 for every subsequent hour If they don t have the parts on them this rate applies while they go and get them capped at one hour That is 1224 a day When I realised this I cancelled They would not refund my deposit I have made a complaint to Trading StandardsEdit 26 01 23 The company has today complained that I left important detail which is misleading They have pointed out the following which I do not contest CarlThere are 3 factual errors with your review you canceled 1st time as not receiving a follow up confirmation of when was your allocated slot When you advised your concerns of potential costs escalating i advised it was rare a boiler repair takes 4 hours I offered to cap your costs at 1 hour no guarantee that boiler will be fixed within this period Your review is misleading to actual chain of events where every attempt to reassure you of any concerns I give you till 12 mid day today to amend or remove your review or i ll be forced to instruct a legal claim against you for damages I m disappointed it has come to this when every effort was made to serve you correctly

This company is a joke

Called to get a quote to have a fryer fitted Quote given over the phone of 438 Refused to attend until payment was made which we naively and regrettably did Engineer arrived unannounced and declared further works would be required before he could begin and then proceeded to invoice us for a further 1900 Called their office to find out why we were being charged for extra work we were informed the gas pipe needed extending it doesn t Called and spoke to someone who agreed to the refund and asked us to put it in writing which we did Received an email this evening from someone called Adam informing us despite PHS not surveying the job before quoting the 438 was non-refundable We were not provided with receipt of payment nor any paperwork or agreement notifying us of terms of cancellation or fees applied Based on the other reviews on here and Google it s clear that they make it up as they go along We will be lodging a complaint with Trading Standards and initiating a County Court claim shortly Do not give these cowboys your money

Exceptionally unprofessional

Company is a scam to get your money up front for the visit it s cost you 300 for the privilege They will then fade away after a few meaningless e-mails Avoid at all costs it s a pure cash grab outfit Google reviews all look fake

We paid for an expert and got an amateur AND our boiler is STILL broken

As many others are saying I had an exceptionally poor and unprofessional experience with PHS Engineers Ltd They charge almost 400 for the first hour or part of then have the temerity to advertise No Call Out Charge like it s a good thing - or even true But I was kind of desperate so I went for it and the engineer was scheduled for early the next morning I came in early especially to meet the guy but he didn t show up I waited almost 40 minutes just to allow for late arrival but there was no sign so I contacted PHS They said it was traffic but that they d contact the engineer to get an eta Another 30 minutes later now 1hr20 after the scheduled time they come back to say the engineer ran into issues and will be with me in a few hours 5 hours later he arrived Absolutely zero word from engineer or from PHS in the mean time Then the guy spends less than 15 minutes looking at my faulty machinery and says you need parts we ll come back with a quote And then he s gone 400 over 6 hours waiting zero proactive communication and essentially no work done I haven t heard from PHS since So essentially they took the money did next to nothing and ran It also turned out the the engineer did not work directly for PHS and was a local freelancer they hired for the job so of course any attempt of mine to complain he kept telling me it s nothing to do with me - sort it out with the office and there s nothing I can do anyway because they take the payment up front Incredibly expensive Exceptionally unprofessional AVOID

WARNING

If it were possible to add no stars I would Our boiler broke down and the engineer had no idea what he was doing at all a complete chancer We are now out of pocket nearly 600 and we still don t have a working boiler Don t use this company You will pay for an expert and get an amateur

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I engaged PHS Engineers for a project and was profoundly disappointed with their service and professionalism Despite being contracted for specific works they failed to complete the tasks they were employed to do To add insult to injury they invoiced for additional works that I had not authorised or requested When I challenged these extra charges rather than seeking an amicable resolution PHS Engineers resorted to legal action This move forced me to spend a considerable amount of time preparing a response Thankfully the court ruled in my favour but the whole ordeal was time-consuming and entirely unnecessary I caution anyone considering using PHS Engineers to be wary Their approach to business and client relations left much to be desired in my experience It s regrettable to have to leave such a review but I believe it s important to share my experience to help others make informed decisions
