Gas Electric turned off
ZERO stars I took keys on new build I got on medical grounds 22 March saw Gas electric was on Took my stuff over gradually Gas electric on On 12 April took last of my belongings over gas electric OFF no note through door no prior warning I ve had contact with 5 different Platform staff to find out why one said it was them that did it I would be contacted to arrange a date for them to come to put it back on Another sent me a date of 29 April said it was policy for gas not to be on in empty property I said it s NOT EMPTY I have the keys I m a tenant I ve paid rent I m moving in gradually why didn t you tell me why can t you turn it back on sooner where do you think I m sleeping They never told me at sign up who the provider was though their own information says they will do when you get the key I asked for the tenancy information in hard copy due to disability but still they emailed it to me I asked for hard copy again still not been sent it Never heard a word from my so called Housing Officer I have hospital appointment on 29 April so asked for alternative date for utilities to be switched on but still awaiting a date So I have paid rent on a property I ve had to provide lots of personal information to qualify for on the grounds of medical needs that suddenly don t count at all as I m left with a property I obviously desperately need or wouldn t have gone through the social housing application process that I can t live in It is NOT an empty property when it s tenanted It s a different customer service person every time there s no accountability no duty of care which is shocking given recent media reports of damp in Social housing causing ill health death for tenants I am sleeping on the floor at my 86 yr old mums in her tiny 1 bed sheltered housing complex because she s ill she needs help I ve needed to move in to the platform property because of a second s 21 notice to quit in less than 2 years in private sector because of physical mental health needs The property is let only partially with floor coverings so it s had to be a gradual move in because I ve got to arrange floor coverings curtains So why didn t platform ask when will I be starting to be moving in fully tell me they were going to switch off gas electric if I didn t contact the provider for an account AND tell me who the provider is as they are supposed to Why have they turned off gas electricity when it s NOT AN EMPTY PROPERTY If it s empty why is rent being paid I am disgusted heartbroken I don t feel safe with platform I work at managing my clinical severe anxiety yet this housing group who are supposed to help have actually made my anxiety worse I am devastated

Reported my leaking boiler before Xmas
Reported my leaking boiler before Xmas recorded message promised someone would get our voicemail and respond we are well into the new year now and nobody ever called back and my boiler is still leaking causing extensive damage to our home Absolutely shocking service from such a huge housing company

Quick to up your rent dead slow to everything else
shared ownership customer have found them Quick to up your rent but sloth like to repair and fix maintain your property we filled in our end of defects in december 2021 and here we are 8 months later still awaiting fixing in that time we have had a rent and service charge increases the latter covering these issues our front door has become worse to open our bathtub has lowered even more than before just a few examples of things that have progressed to a worse state the guy we keep getting also seems to be very good at fobbing you off and not actually doing anything we know because some of the things he fobbed us off on have become worse since they have also constantly refused to supply any support about our garden that a year and a half in is still unusable its just loads of slopes and obviously looks like they have just lobbed the turf on piles of rubble our son is still unable to use the garden safely at one point we were considering staircasing but after this service we have received or lack of we are considering getting out all together

Complaints department shocking
I ve had an open now escalated complaint since August 2023 I would urge everyone to check their accounts carefully This is the second year they have made a mistake I ve waited for the 225 compensation for my son since 25th December Sent a chasing email weeks ago had a response today that they don t have the form which I sent They won t even provide a print out of his accounts If you are reading this Platform Im going to my MP if he doesn t have the money transferred and his balance by 5pm on Monday customers have the right to see their accounts Case 3450

Avoid if you can
Avoid if you can I was unfortunately transferred to Platform from another housing company who were much better Platform are absolutely terrible They just do not care Never reply to emails when they do they don t actually look into your issue Just fob you off with the bare minimum effort possible They increased rent twice a year for two years which I m not even sure is legal I was under the impression rent can only be increased once a year I questioned this got a half arsed reply which didn t actually answer my query at all They are completely and utterly useless If you have a Platform house don t expect any help whatsoever because they don t care and they have no idea what they re doing It s embarrassing

Where do I start
Where do I start Requested so many repairs most of them not completed Complained about my neighbours twice and got nowhere I have to put up with dogs barking banging around drums playing The list is endless Requested a move on medical grounds as the house I live in just isn t suitable Was refused When I complained about the neighbour they gave me information on finding a mutual exchange

No heating and no hot water
We have had no heating and hot water for the last 6 days even tho platform housing as put us on emergency waiting list and after 4 calls no work as been completed and now they have given us a date of 18th April before they can come out and repair again so no hot water and heating till Then

Horrible communication
Horrible communication Supposed to be completing on a house next month Maybe Unsure as no one is getting back to me Ignored emails and phone calls Update Four months later October and still not moved in Developers were constantly delaying things finally had handover two weeks ago but now their solicitors cant seem to get their stuff sorted absolute joke really annoyed i had to give them a star at all
