False advertising

Searched and found item for sale on their website It said the item was in stock and would ship in 2-4 days Completed the checkout process on Friday Today Monday I receive an email from the company stating that my order was canceled due to supply chain issues factory allocations and the need to save stock for our local strategic customers Translation They have the item but don t want to sell to me because I m not local And hey that s fine but the problem is you advertised it as available and in stock on the website and allowed me complete the checkout process A local company had the item but it was extremely overpriced So I found this item and told the contractor we didn t want the local item Now I m stuck in the position of hoping that we can still get the local item and if not our construction project faces significant delays In 2022 there is no excuse for not having your websites reflect what s truly in stock and available for sale Do not use this company s website to order anything For my part I will make sure I never do any business with Platt Electric Supply unless they see this review and decide to process my order
